Love the ferry. I go to Holden Beach every year. A beautiful area of my beloved state.
I grew up at Kure Beach, many years ago! We pronounced it cure, like you cure meat. I had never heard it pronounced Kureee until I moved to the western part of NC. Next time you go to Southport, ask the locals how to get to “the point .” There you can wade in the water and find live sand dollars!

Lived in Wilmington for a while and spent a lot of time at Kure beach. We called it like "cure." It was nice seeing familiar places in your video! Thanks for the trip! P.S. I just watched Safe Haven after you mentioned it in your video. OMG! It was great! What a shocker at the end though. 👻

What a great trip! The ocean looked gorgeous. I’m staying near the shore this summer. We’ve had SO many sharks in the Gulf down here in FL. The little beach towns in NC reminded me of the South shore of Long Island where I grew up.

I grew up on the Outer Banks and yes the live oaks are beautiful here in NC. I love that most of our beaches preserved them. Some beaches cut them down. Southport is really beautiful. Have you been to Ocracoke? You would love it!
We live on the Outer Banks also!! Arika…you need to visit Nags Head and Ocracoke next

Yes you should. They had a lot of damage with Hurricane Dorian but they have built back up.

Thunderstorms and rain are the reasons I do not camp I go glamping,. We have a motor home and we are planning a cross country trip this summer, I can’t wait. We are retired so we have no time restrictions.we will be taking our two kitties with us I hope that goes well fingers crossed, lol.

I loved this even though I saw your Instagram post I was so excited to see this. We loved camping but haven’t since the girls were young. Wilmington is just a little over an hour from Myrtle. Wonder if I can talk hubby into leaving to go down a day early to take a tour. He’s always talked about the battleship.
Bacon cooked over a fire is the best!! Was always one of my favorite meals!!
