i remember something from sucker punch saying they color the levels based on the villain's colors so it feels like sly is "in their domain". paris is the most obvious exception to that, but i guess they did plan on having that purple hue originally.
I do really like the fog on the snowy levels and the brighter northern lights as well. And the lights looked seriously good in paris! it is hard to say how that would have looked on a crt and they no doubt took that into consideration.
March build's difficulty was removed later on and the game suffered because of it. It's a stealth game, yet you can kill guards and run past them undetected, here you can't do that.

Yeah I remember as a kid Paris was hard to see sometimes on a CRT. But the original is so beautiful😭

Hey I download a pcsx2 emulator and download sly 2 for it and it doesn't run very well and was wondering if you had any idea why it runs so poorly.
You need a pretty powerful CPU for these games... i remember with my old Xeon X3470 ratchet and clank run at 12 fps lol

Yes just look up “Sly 2 prototype” on google, and you should be able to find them on a website called “Hidden Palace”
