Don't we have any in-built device in testproject that can be used for our test simply by adding our required apk file to this device? Thanks Again for doing great job 👍👍

    Hello Raghav. I watch ur vids and ther r helping me a lot. Since I am having a different background I am learning software Testing for the last few months. I grasped a good knowledge of manual testing and your vids are helping a lot in Automation. But I am uncertain about the job since 90 percent of the companies prefer experienced professionals. So how can someone start his career as a fresher in this relevant field.

    • @RaghavPal
      @RaghavPal  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Ayush, to begin as a fresher you can check for entry level jobs, walk-ins for fresher, job fair etc. Do create your resume on job portals and keep applying. In addition to this, if you can get some knowledge on few automation tools, it will help a lot. When you go for any interview, If you say that you have been learning on your own and have acquired these skills, it will create a very positive impression. I will suggest you can start learning Selenium, UI Testing from here - automationstepbystep.com/about-me/

    I am new to automation and looking for the right tool for our business. I first started by using Selenium IDE but found there are issues with what I need it for. Our Web UI contains a lot of drop down box functionality, will TestProject be able to handle this as Selenium IDE does not. I found that Selenium IDE is very inconsistent with actual testing. I have spent more time testing the programme itself trying to get scripts working

    • @RaghavPal
      @RaghavPal  Před 3 lety

      Hi, Selenium IDE is more like a quick tool to record and check the scripts and locators, May not be good to setup a complete Test Automation Project. TestProject is a good option. I will suggest to do a POC with some of your end-to-end scenarios to check if all functionalities work and then finalize

      Hi Prathamesh, I see this as a +ve development. The way we used to do Automation is changing gradually. Creating Automation frameworks from scratch, adding all lib, doing all setup, configuration etc is slowly becoming obsolete with platforms like TestProjects. Also as we talk and start AI and ML I believe this will be a useful option

    • @RaghavPal
      @RaghavPal  Před 4 lety +2

      Hi Prashanth, Appium is an open source mobile testing library and TestProject uses Appium at the backend. Test Project does all the setup and configurations, You just need to setup TestProject agent on your system. So it uses Appium and provides with a lot of features over it so you can easily and efficiently create mobile tests, without doing all the setup. configurations, or coding.

    • @RaghavPal
      @RaghavPal  Před rokem

      Deepak
      To get started with testing Android applications as a beginner, here is a suggestion:
      1. Learn Android Basics: Familiarize yourself with the Android operating system and its basic concepts. Understand the components of an Android app, such as activities, fragments, views, and intents. Gain knowledge about how the user interface (UI) works in Android.
      2. Set up an Android Testing Environment: Install the necessary tools for testing Android applications. These include the Android SDK (Software Development Kit), Android Emulator, and Android Debug Bridge (ADB). You can download and install Android Studio, which includes all these tools, from the official Android developer website.
      3. Understand Different Testing Techniques: Learn about the various testing techniques used for Android applications, such as unit testing, integration testing, and UI testing. Each technique has its own purpose and helps in ensuring the quality of the app.
      4. Explore Testing Frameworks: Familiarize yourself with popular testing frameworks for Android, such as Espresso and Appium. These frameworks provide tools and APIs for writing and executing tests for Android applications.
      5. Start with Manual Testing: Begin by manually testing Android applications to get a sense of how they work. Install apps on real devices or emulators and interact with them to find and report bugs, usability issues, and inconsistencies.
      6. Learn Automated Testing: As you gain more experience, venture into automated testing using frameworks like Espresso or Appium. These frameworks allow you to write test scripts in programming languages such as Java or Python to automate the testing process.
      Regarding learning Python Selenium automation from scratch to an advanced level, here's a suggested learning path:
      1. Python Fundamentals: Start by learning the basics of Python programming language. Understand the syntax, data types, control structures, functions, and object-oriented programming concepts.
      2. Selenium WebDriver: Learn Selenium WebDriver, a popular automation tool for web testing. Understand how to interact with web elements, perform actions, and verify results using Selenium WebDriver with Python.
      3. Test Automation Frameworks: Explore test automation frameworks built on top of Selenium, such as Robot Framework or PyTest. These frameworks provide additional features and simplifications for organizing and managing your test scripts.
      4. Advanced Topics: Dive into advanced topics such as handling dynamic web elements, working with different browsers, handling file uploads/downloads, handling frames/s, and working with databases.
      5. Test Design and Patterns: Learn about test design principles, test patterns, and best practices for writing maintainable and effective test scripts.
      6. Continuous Integration: Understand how to integrate your automated tests into a continuous integration (CI) pipeline using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD. Learn about running tests in parallel, generating reports, and integrating with version control systems.
      Remember to practice regularly and work on real-world projects to gain practical experience. Utilize online tutorials, documentation, and open-source projects to enhance your learning. Additionally, stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the field of test automation.
