Small Town Trash: FL80 Labrie Cool Hand

I am exited to bring you the first video of Mumfords Sanitation out of Howard Lake, MN. They are a small company with a 2 ASLs and some RLs that do lots of rural and small towns west of the Twin Cities. This is the 4th video in the STT series, the first to be filmed in Minnesota and the first to feature a side loader. This truck was known about but not what I expected to find as they have a older 320 autoreach as well. Nonetheless I was very excited to film this Freightliner Cool Hand. Some may have seen this specific unit and a few identical from Wis Trash when it ran in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

If I was Labrie I would try to cover up the existence of the Cool Hand ASL.

Labrie bought this and the current Right-Hand arm from a New Zealand company called Manco. Manco built 2 different sized “CoolHand” arms SL70 which would fit mini trucks like the New Way Mamba and the SL75 which was fitted to the original Sidewinder and of course the famous Labrie Expert & Automizer bodies.

Wow... Such a throwback! Watching this video brought back so many memories when Wis Trash and I would follow these trucks around every Wednesday. Hearing that Freightliner roar, the back-up alarm and seeing the orange and white colors.. Great video!
