- We finally bid farewell to Morro Bay and set sail south for Ventura, where we eagerly retrieved our brand new Precision main sail 🤩 After a long sail, a quick stay at Ventura Isle Marina and a little provisioning we were ready to continue south to Catalina Island. There is a lot of sailing in this video, so prepare to watch the beauty of the open sea, the joy of sailing, and the anticipation of new adventures.

Such a good episode guys! I love the overall vibe and the presentation style. Seeing the docks in Ventura reminded me of when we first met you guys parked next to the Mason! I’m digging the new main too. After trucking down to Mexico with it how is the sail performing?

Love the video although personally I'd remove the music especially when the engine is off. Yours is my favourite yacht of any sailing channel (think I may have mentioned that several times before!!) and I'd love to just hear the creeking and the ocean. Oh and 16:19 "I made that my...self" was pure Forest Gump!!! :)

Love your video! Thanks so much for making. I'm jealous! I prepared for my own trip for the last 13 years, and in the course of that "rescued" some kittens that became 9. I love them and can't bear the thought of sailing with them (the thought of losing one) so we cashed in on our boat and bought a cat house instead. So now I live my adventure through your videos. You guys make some really outstanding videos and I am really happy for you!

It's always a pleasure to put up a fresh sail and feel the difference a properly shaped sail makes. Also we don't really care what you look like while out on passage, Most of the time its under way with hair in our faces and 2 day old clothes soaked with sunscreen and sweat. We know its not the glamorous side of sailing, just embrace it an be your charming selves on camera, perfect hair and makeup be damned.

Thanks for the lesson on sail design ! The new sail looks fabulous. Who did the rope work on your helm wheel ? Absolutely awesome ! I'm retired Navy and haven't seen great line work like that in a long time. Forgot to mention how good the bulwarks looked after Marissa did them in Santa Cruz. Be safe you two......
Our pleasure! I (Marissa) did that :) it took the better half of two weeks and I actually show a clip of it in our boat tour video that was posted recently. We JUST oiled the bulwarks again! Its a yearly endeavor now, but much easier down here south of the boarder to throw on a bikini and soak up the sunshine while doing it :)

What happens to old sails? Are they recyclable?
Great question! Old sails can be recycled in a few ways: they can go to live on some other boat (if they have some life left in them), you can send them off to companies that use the material to make bags and accessories OR donate to foundations like Sails4Shelter which use old sails to create shelters for the homeless.

Marissa comes from a family of anglers and lived by the sea her whole life - we are all confused as what happened haha been in Mexico for 5 months and can confirm she has ate at least 3 fish tacos.
