There needs to be a $5k minimum for anyone who makes the main event. Racing is unbelievably expensive, and the guys outside the top 10 (and their sponsors) are spending more than they're making, while generating profits for everyone else.
I think it is outrageous that the privateers have to pay for themselves and their mechanics to go into the event, while celebrities get in for free and get the VIP treatment wow, so you don't like little people? Thank goodness I'm 5'6 or I used to be I think I'm 5'5 now that I'm old.

Been like this for years . As long as the riders keep paying and not stand up for themselves it will just keep going up. And some of these guys are friends with the top guys and they won't even stand up for there friends that's just a shame
Hopefully Robertson makes some splashes again after how the last years have treated him. Beaumer I see just learning the ropes... maybe 3rd at best, but I like to be proven wrong. What you said about privateers and sponsorships, Cooksey, is what I've been wondering for YEARS!! I've said so many times how I long for the days where 2nd and 3rd were acceptable for sponsorships. Unfortunately, that's cutthroat these days, which is a sad story for the privateers. I even remember thinking to myself that going to all 4-strokes is likely why no privateers are racing both classes like before. What should also be changed is that some (or all) privateers deserve interviews on TV for career-best finishes because it wasn't long ago that the only way you'd get an interview for 4th place or lower is if your name was Jeremy McGrath, and 4th place was the first position nobody cared about. Keep 'em coming, man!
OK Cooksey, Here I go. You really rubbed me wrong for a bit. I didn't care for how you covered Haiden, Brian, the bike claim story and some other things. I told myself I would not ever subscribe to your CZcams. I've still listened to you and your opinions since. I like that you called out Hughes and his inappropriate conduct at Loretta's and the Pedro's that were working at the ranch. Nobody should be above being held accountable for their conduct. Especially Hughes, who was nowhere near good enough to be the prima donna that he has become. I think you really care about the sport and the riders. The money Feld makes compared to what they pay the riders is criminal. I appreciate that (even if to no avail) you call out the lack of money they are giving the riders. I don't know if you are having any impact, but I applaud your efforts. The only thing I can do is buy tickets to the races, which I do and will always. For you, all I can do is like your videos and give you my subscription. Today you have it, I subscribed.
I’m all for you getting into the media conferences but absolutely flaming the guy definitely ain’t outweighing the emails u asked us to send vouching for you. Keep the personal remarks down and keep it more professional maybe that will get you through. All love !
The riders should definitely try to do something about the pay (riders union). Even if you're making the main every weekend as a privateer there's no real profit and usually you're going into debt to support the dream. I don't know how much feld makes per round, but I definitely think they make enough to at least increase the pay for the 10th - 22nd place guys in the main. These dudes are risking their lives trying to race and it sucks that there's no real bennefit to them other than the fact that they're chasing the dream.
Republicans break out into hives thinking about unionizing. It may mean that they were wrong about unions for their entire lives, and that's too much for them to bear. It's a no-brainer that the riders should organize. It's a no-brainer that they should strike. But to get them to undo a lifetime of anti-union indoctrination is a bridge too far. So Feld and MX Sports laugh all the way to the bank.
Thats called GREED !! People never look at the big picture, its always how much can we make now! If they gave more share to younger amateurs it would draw more riders into the sport ,which make sport bigger more spectators etc..
What I’m saying is it restricts my movements and inhibits my riding, therefore I don’t wear it. To each their own but personally I don’t wear any extra braces, chest protectors etc. I just feel more comfortable that way.
I remember in the early 79’s when I started the MX community all cried we wanted to grow the sport like NASCAR, I of course was against this now look where we’re at? Greed always wins the almighty dollar comes first
This is something I i have to agree with you on. Privateer riders should be earning at least as much as a full time minimum wage employee. If they make it to every race of the indoor and outdoor series. But, also get docked accordingly for the events the miss. I talking about the privateers who regularly make the SX night show happen. And who qualify to line up for a outdoor national. But, I don't understand you split of 60-40. How do you arrive at that percentage? That seems really high. How much do you think they make per event.
Bro i bought 2 front row seats for SX and they were $511. Just that row would pay the whole field more than they're making now, if the money actually went to the riders...nevermind the whole rest of the stadium.

Pretty sure he’s racing. Judging by his instagram stories he’s playing a game. Keeping it low key. I do have a feeling he really is on the triumph. Could be wrong but I don’t think he’s done.
If I was a privateer one of the first things that I would negotiate with my sponsors is to pay for all entry fees and licenses for the year. That would be a huge burden taken off the privateers shoulders from week to week

This sport is evolving at a whole new level, because of guys like Deegan with his channel bringing a fan base that doesn't watch motorsports at all. Sorry, not everyone makes the NBA, NFL, MLB, Nascar, F1, UFC, and soon not everyone will race at the AMA level. The Lawerence Brother's, Deegan's, and the next Generation Champions of this sport are going to make money racing dirt bikes that is unheard of previously. In 5 to 10 years the money this sport will bring in will be unheard of... Watch!
Sorry Cookie, you're thinking is too small and simple minded. You're a dinosaur, leave the payroll to the businessmen. Just like the UFC and NFL, Monser Energy AMA Supercross is a business. Before you know it, Haiden will be sponsored by Nike and no matter how much you cry about it, nothing will change.
I doubt it. The peak of the sport was the Carmichael, Stu, Reed era. Corrected for inflation, those guys were making way more than riders today (at least before the SMX nonsense was added). The younger kids are less and less interested in racing, going to the events, or buying bikes/gear. I'm mid 30s, grew up riding. Now? Several of the dads in my neighborhood bought their kids dirt bikes or quads and they're never ridden. The kids putt around the yard a few times over the summer, fall once, and go back to their iPads for a month. When i go to the woods, there are more guys in their 60s riding than guys in their teens and 20s. These younger kids are so damn soft.
It really is unacceptable to charge our “pro athletes” and yes I mean privateers too, to race in events that earn the promoters barrels of cash. So ridiculous, it’s really unbelievable that it’s the way it works. There is no other sport that does this that I know of, WTF.
I’ve been saying this for years! The riders need to get paid more money purse wise! I’ve always said I wouldn’t mind paying an extra $5-$10 for a ticket if I knew it was 100% going to the riders! The pit passes used to be $10 now they are $20. Where is that money going? Stop the free entry with a Monster Can and make everyone pay for a pit pass and that money can go to the riders! Or let the privateers sell their Merch in the pits. That way they can maybe make some money to get to the next race, buy parts, gas, tires, stay at a hotel instead of the back of their moto van in the back of the pits. All I wanna see is the riders getting more money! First place purse money for 450 class main event is peanuts!!! Every other sport pays it athletes! Why can’t Supercross? They practically sell out every Saturday! I know for a fact A-1 is sold out already. Cause when I went to get tickets on the day they went on sale it was already saying there was limited seats available. So Feld and AMA PAY THE RIDERS MORE MONEY!!!!
Cooksey even if you deliver a championship within the last 2 years in 250 and 450 class you can get the axe. Dylan Ferrandis is a better rider than Cooper Webb as of this day. I hope he smokes Webb all year. Star Yamaha has blown it, in my opinion
Ferrandis wanted out at Star. They offered to resign him and he declined seeking to hop on another brand. After the moto season in which he won the title Yamaha came out with a new bike. The new bike and him didn’t mesh well
The 800th ranked Golfer made over $600k last year but the 20th best supercross racer on the planet can’t even make 35K a year. The sport doesn’t need riders, what it needs is more millionaire bureaucrats in suits getting pay raises
Entry fees should be 100% free. These aren't local races where they depend on that money to stay afloat... shit, if they make you pay that much, guys should start removing AMA/feld logos from their jerseys and bike... or charge them for advertising. But nothing will ever get done until the factories and the big name 450 guys get involved....For one, they don't care, neither do the big name riders with fat contracts and bonus money, people who've never had the struggle of the privateer lifestyle and are happy with what they're making. And let's say the big name guys do get involved and go on a strike to become unionized...a couple things can or would happen, it won't be overnight, so they'd miss a season or two in an already short career, lose a lot of money, and they'd be replaced by the next guy in line due to not fulfilling their contractual agreement, and probably be sued by the team.. you can't tell me those privateer guys who've worked their entire lives for a factory 450 ride would turn that opportunity down to continue on strike. And the Factory teams in America, they still listen to the bosses in Japan, so they can't exactly say "we won't race."...It just won't ever happen. And now, there's so many factory guys on the line and more on the way, they don't exactly need privateers as gate fillers like they once did for the main events, so even if they all decided to not show up, they'll figure out how to make that work by changing the night program. If there's not enough guys to do heat races and LCQs, just do 3 mains for each... They've got the sport and riders by the balls
The personal attacks are getting ridiculous here. Say what you want about people but once you start insulting them over pointless, completely irrelevant shit it starts to seem a little desperate.
Dude I was loving your content the last month. You dropped the politics and conspiracy shit and it was a breath of fresh air. Here we are 2 weeks from A1 and here you are complaining the riders are being fucked and this and that. Meanwhile the payout for the riders is the highest its ever been. You can't make cooksey happy whatever you do. I get free speech and everything, but you gotta be clueless when you post shit like this and then make videos why you can't get a media pass. No other mx media people trash the sport and the people paying like you do. Sometimes it's warranted but alot of times you are just spewing bs.
Cooksey, it's just another reason that WSX will take over and the U.S. series will die. WSX realizes that the riders are the show and Feld, MX Sports and the AMA don't see it that way. They look at it as the riders are their cash cow. Too much greed in the U.S. series. There is no reason that 20th place in a SX race in the U.S. series doesn't pay $3000. Again, no reason for a rider to pay ANYTHING, no entry fees, no licensing fees, nothing to race a professional motocross or sx, ANYWHERE!
AS soon as the factories see the WSX get the show down to a precision oiled machine.....they might jump ship, then its over for SMX.......i dont see that happening with all the chaos in the world......its not exactly getting better......never does
Ahhhhhh, man!! The current state of Sx,Mx, Wsx...whatever, is un interesting. A lot of chatter about one crisis or another...rider v rider drama...factory v Feld v AMA or some other soap opera. MX,SX, AX, WSX needs to just slow down and do whatever they can, to NOT become like the clown show,, that NASCAR and IndyCar has become. There has been a massive opportunity to greatly advance bike racing, buut... the powers that be, are following a losing model. 10 years from now, if not sooner, neither IndyCar or nascar will be here. Don't follow them into obscurity. Make racing FUN again, both to watch, and participate in. Not so hard to do...just don't be so beholding to one or two massive sponsors. Money isn't everything!!! Can we Please just get back to having fun, in watching motorsports, and be able to take part in it, without a million dollar budget. This shit has been going on for too long, and a lot of fans...who by the way, pay for all of this, are opting out.

Disagree with you about Hughes. Athletes ditch the braces as soon as they can. Ask me how I know!
The sport doesn’t need riders, what it needs is more millionaire bureaucrats in suits getting pay raises
what would ryno do if he bumped into you at A1? haaa haa it wouod be funny to wach the smack talker cower
They've got the sport and riders by the balls
have to disagree with "no big body movement" in this sport
The personal attacks are getting ridiculous here. Say what you want about people but once you start insulting them over pointless, completely irrelevant shit it starts to seem a little desperate.
Just like Leblanc he didn’t deliver now he has a 9-5 job
Dude I was loving your content the last month. You dropped the politics and conspiracy shit and it was a breath of fresh air. Here we are 2 weeks from A1 and here you are complaining the riders are being fucked and this and that. Meanwhile the payout for the riders is the highest its ever been. You can't make cooksey happy whatever you do. I get free speech and everything, but you gotta be clueless when you post shit like this and then make videos why you can't get a media pass. No other mx media people trash the sport and the people paying like you do. Sometimes it's warranted but alot of times you are just spewing bs.
Daniel Blair is developing KTM riders so I guess DB sucks at training them? You’ve been snorting some special protein powder bro😂
Cooksey talks about how he hates liberals and the everyone gets a trophy bs. Then turns around and says everyone should get payed and what not 😂😂😂 somw of those privateers are full of talent but dont work as hard as you think. 😂😂
WALK OUT
