So I guess Saturday is the official pod day now huh.
I actually live in the town next to Eureka to go to HSU. All of my professors have told us to stay on trails when hiking since most illegal growers are using federal and state lands for their grows. Its crazy dangerous and I don’t think there is a whole lot going on to stop it. The smaller illegal grows and other drug houses are raided regularly. My friends neighbors were arrested for cooking meth a couple months ago. I work in Eureka and it’s kinda depressing if you stay around the highway. If you go into the residential areas it’s quite beautiful. It reminds me of Portland a bit.
I grew up in Eureka and it was sketch to go off trail back then, I can only imagine how it is now. Even Redwood Park was scary back then!
I lived in garberville all my life and its really not dangourous around here at all. The documentary is serioulsy played up and overexaggerated for tv's sake. My best Friend from birth lives on "Murder Montain" and his parents have parties with a ton of other growers and trimmers that also live on "Murder Mountain" AKA Alder point and theyre all very respectfull, nice and generally just good people.
My friend that lives on MUDER MOUNTAiN even had an incedent a while back where 2 guys tripping on acid got lost in the woods and endend up at their house, and no they didnt shoot them on sight for tresspassing they let them in for the night got to know eachother. And then gave them a ride home the next day! So dont be so scared/paranoid the next time you go hiking in the redwoods!
