- Hello my angels! Summer is one of the easiest times of year to create a capsule wardrobe. Because I live in Canada I wanted to focus on a full range of temperatures within this capsule wardrobe. I mentioned this in a past video that I really felt like I am starting to understand my style and I think this 10x10 reflects that. I am no longer making purchases because I think they will only photograph well (without suiting my actual life) or to impress someone else. I just want to feel like me in everything I wear!

Hi Amanda love all your videos. I know this is strange but I have never bought anything from outside of Canada( weird I know) because I didn't know about the "duty" prices. How much duties are there on items and how are you charged?
Hi Tracy! Thank you so much it's always a pleasure to see you in the comments! Also this is totally not weird I didn't start looking outside of my Canadian comfort zone until a couple of years ago. :)
It always depends on the retailer and country you're purchasing from when it comes to duties. For the ones I've mentioned, Reformation for example, their duty is included in the price so there is no additional cost when you purchase from that retailer. Also I actually recently made a return and it was quite easy!
As for any orders I make from Australian or UK brands there is usually always a duty attached and sometimes they can nip you pretty good! This is where I would caution shoppers to really be sure of a purchase or to really have your heart set before buying. I will always pay online through my credit care of debit visa in these cases. I always read a ton of reviews as well before buying just to give me a little less chance of buyers remorse.
I hope that helped even just a little! If you're ever curious and really coveting an item abroad I would inquire about it to the companies support team just so you're not left with unexpected charges.
