First time I met Negreanu was in Vegas, and he called my hand out loud. He looked me straight in the eyes, and calmly told me "You don't have the kings". He was 100% correct. He didn't say it as a rhetorical question either as if he was probing for info - he stated it as a matter of fact. like he just knew. Daniel's mindgames is on another level. I don't even play poker - I zipped up fast and walked straight out of the public restroom.
Amen to that. I feel like his personality has become worse though. I still enjoy him but he's not nearly as fun loving and care free as he used to be. Decades in the spotlight will have it's effects I suppose.
Favourite player to watch. Clever, polite, non-aggressive. His bluffs are good. If I didn't see the cards, I'd not be able to tell. And of all the people present at the games, I think he is most conscious of the fact that others may study his style ahead of the game. He also brings up things observed in other players' games, which means he digs up everything on his opponents. Does his pre-game homework. He's never the same twice, tailoring his behaviour, so you can't guess his next action, based on the former ones. No dead giveaways. He's just fun to watch. Appearing relaxed, even when nervous.
One of my two favorite players of all time (Ivey being the other), Daniel’s moments with Hellmuth at the table is some of the funniest stuff in poker history. DNegs knows how to push Hellmuth’s buttons perfectly.
Anybody can push Hellmuth's buttons real easy, just beat him in a hand by calling a massive preflop bet with 9-4 off suit, and then hitt a set on the river.

They’re both two of the best ever, but Daniel’s “people playing” ability is next level, especially when it’s someone like Phil. daniels reads are sometimes scary :D there was a time, i thought this guy had superpowers or is cheating, but his imagination skills and reading it in the face of his opponents is just over the top. can watch it all day :)
With the lack of donor hair he had available I must say his transplants went extremely well. His hairline was done conservatively and he looks 10 years younger than if he had let his norwood scale go to a 5 or 6. Good for him on going the extra mile and paying higher price for a better more skilled surgeon.
He truly has improved. The keys are he has reduced or stopped telling others his thought process during hands and when he believes he is beat lays down the hand. He use to believe he was beat and would call to prove he was right.
I don't know about "greatest player", but he is the biggest fan favorite I believe. He loves the attention and spotlight. He loves knowing celebrities. He goes out of his way to make sure the public and his fans love him. I look forward to his WSOP video's every year. He is the only player that gives you a behind the scenes look. It is my dream to play in the WSOP, but I will probably never get the chance. His video's allow me to feel like I am there with him. He instantly became my favorite player when I got into poker during the 2003 Moneymaker wave. He has stayed my favorite player. But if Phil Ivey did the things that DNegs does, he would probably be the biggest name AND the greatest player.

Stu Unger was the greatest to me... rarely allowing the opponent to see the next card without over committing, including the highest probabilities on best hand vs. the board and sheer intuitions. Though tragic, he was the very best and even if though he was crass at time... one thing is sure Mr. Ungar... you are loved by me, always. Daniel is a wonderful player and I enjoy his game.
