A Zanpakutō Spirit "Soul-Cutter Sword's Substance" is the spirit embodying a Shinigami's Zanpakutō that resides within their master's inner world.
A Zanpakutō Spirit is a part of their Shinigami's soul, and their appearance and abilities are a reflection of this; as such, they also share their master's resolve. They exist in tandem with their master; they are born alongside their Shinigami, and die with them. A Zanpakutō Spirit's power is separate from that of their owner, and when a Shinigami draws on this power in addition to their own, their Zanpakutō will become even stronger. They dwell within the inner worlds of their Shinigami masters.
As unique reflections of their masters' souls, Zanpakutō Spirits do not share any common appearance traits. Their appearance can change while their master has their Bankai activated, can be temporarily altered when their master uses a Shin'eiyaku, and varies drastically between spirits: Zangetsu takes the form of his master, Ichigo Kurosaki, but with inverted colors, due to also being Ichigo's inner Hollow. Hyōrinmaru takes the form of an enormous, serpentine ice dragon with large wings. Zabimaru takes the form of a large, white-furred baboon with a snake for a tail. Katen Kyōkotsu takes the form of two separate Human women, due to being a Dual Zanpakutō.
Though a Zanpakutō Spirit's personality is also influenced by the soul of their master, they possess their own thoughts, feelings, opinions, and desires, which may differ from their master's to varying degrees. Additionally, Zanpakutō Spirits are unwilling to teach their masters new techniques, and will engage them in battle in order to determine whether or not they are worthy. They can also determine if their master is worthy of wielding their power. In some instances, a Zanpakutō Spirit's personality can influence how their master can use their Zanpakutō in battle.

I always love Ukitake's Zanpakuto tho 😂. They kinda picturing Ukitake's fondness (and patience bc the twin's annoying antics) towards children 😂.

One can make a forest burn and call it "Ryujin Jakka". It is the manifestation of the devastation that fires can make. It has no personification. It is only a force of nature.
But if it does have a personified version, it would look like Yamaji's Bankai West form.
Love zanpakutos rebellion, one of the best filler arcs! My only complain about it is that we didn't get to see all all the spirits. Obviously it was made before the arrancar arc was finished, they couldn't predict the reintegration of the vizards, also there was no sense in having Aizen's group there. Perhaps the inclusion of Urahara would have been nice, but even without him, I think they really forgot of Isane and Iba zanpakutos. Their spirits should also have been liberated by Muramasa, and it would have been a good opportunity to finally reveal their powers (ironically, as happened to Sasakibe, since the lightning attacks of Gonryomaru firstly appeared there, long before the final arc). Sadly not, and we still don't know anything about them.
I remember reading that the arc is acutally canon since one the filler characters was named in a bleach novel
@@PowerLord83 it's not. Filler arcs and movies have many issues about time-line placement and other things (off course cause they did most of them way before Aizen's arc was over). In this sense, Memories of Nobody and Reigais arc are the ones with less problem, still not officially canon.
That's said, Kubo took many inspirations from them. I will say all zanpakuto spirits forms are canon, since you will a couple of them in TBYW arc. In the novel CFYOW he set the screams valleys (first movie) as locations, also it was mentioned Muramasa as the Kuchiki's clan sacred sword (but not confirmed is the same of the filler arc).
