Jon and Action Kid have become a NYC institution.
Uber respect to you both!
Always great to see @ActionKid and Barr in the same video. Two of my favorites NY youtubers
I like the Malaysian noodle soup... It looks very, very good! 🤤🔥
MALAYSIAN CURRY LAKSA IS THE BEST!!!❤❤❤
I'm goin Laksa Shop here, and of course I can't say no to hot chocolate either.
I love the lady who sells pastel the nata, they are truly the best, I tried them during st. genaro feast in Little italy. She's so sweet, gave me two too
Yo Jon, I just came back form my 2nd NYC trip and I want to just thank you for all the work you put into making all of your incredible and HELPFUL videos. Thanks to you, I avoided getting "robbed" by a seller who almost got me with $20 "change" trick, felt safe while riding on conductor subway cars and in general many other things you tell us about in your videos. I've visited Bryant's Park Christmas Market few times and who knows if I just missed you there haha. Who knows, maybe I will see you wondering around during our next trip? Cheers from Poland!
The Laksa was amazing!! You really get a lot of food in that cup for the money. Just the right amount of heat. Loved it. Oh,and the Portuguese egg tarts were a nice finish….so good!
Thank you so much for this video. We are headed to NYC next week. Can’t wait to go to Bryant Park!
I’m heading to nyc in two days, il be heading here to grab some food!
wow apart from the Malaysian cup, all of the food was extremely overpriced. what a tourist trap
Thanks for taste testing for us. Now i know what to go try at bryant park village. I love the holiday feeling there
Very nice selection of delicious looking food! Thanks for the recommendations
So many fun things to do in NYC Jon !
I tried Baked Cheese Haus and Joey Bats when I was just in Manhattan for Christmas and those recommendations were spot on. Thanks Jon❤
Amazing post Guys
Wow….that was a lot of food! It’s a fantastic spread and for a group of up to four, you could eat all those options with a shared serve. Between the two of you there is a broad food palate, the dishes you had appealed to both of you which is great. Keep up the great work Jon ❤❤
Always like when AK joins you!
Oh my gossssh, I want everything in this video! 🤤😋
Wow nice to see you Jon and AK😊
Thanks for the help barr
I’ve always wanted to try raclette and it looks like they served you a proper gooey portion!! Excellent choice as a first stop 😋😋
Guys, you make NYC a better place!
We are flying to New York tomorrow and we're definitelt going to the market ❤😊
I used your Thatch guide last time I was in the city. It helped me find that amazing halal up by Fox news. The guide was like being able to ask at any time somebody who knows the city really well, like they were standing right next to me.
Hi guys, i totally enjoyed the vlog.
You guys made me hungry
Jon and Kenny. I want that Malay soup. I may have to go! Great vid
Here's Wishing You Here be barr & Action Kid a Very Happy Holidays #Fan
you can can get Raclette during the arts festival at disney during the spring. its a slightly different cheese but still good.
I was thinking that this holiday market reminded me a lot of the Epcot festivals!
I'm so envious of the variety of food that you can get in your own backyard
I'm hoping to be there for two weeks in Feb. I'll have to watch my budget so street food and pizza slices for me. This market will be gone by then but I've your other videos to refer to food my food options!
Rainbow cheese toasted sandwich was great❤
Looks amazing. I miss NY😊😊😊😊
I ❤a team up. 👏 Nice job fellas.
Love seeing Action Kid, loved watching his hours long walks in NYC. Nice tour of food, I am full just watching that cheese wheel.
👦🏾Yes yes and MORE YES!! let there be food 😂🍔🍟🥗🥞🌮🌭🍰🍧🍨🍪🍩🍝🍛🍲🍜. @Here Be Barr 🥂
Delicious.
I am so glad I ate heartily before I watched this. But still, I was struggling... I must have all of those
From Adelaide Australia we are lucky here Laksa is widely available such a wonderful noodle dish for comparison generally $10 US. The food looks great but damn those NY prices!
We just had the raclette at Bryant Park but it was on potatoes. Hmmmm….. I wish it had been on baguette. Have to go back now.
Oh jeez that's what I need in my belly too. I need to get back to NYC and eat with you. ✌️✌️✌️
Thanks Jason
@@HereBeBarr Anytime.
I think my wife and myself will have to give Bryant Park a visit this Sunday! Thanks for sharing. Wonderful eats.
We're going to NYC on Christmas Day. I had a few days off work and we're driving to NJ from NC. I want to take my wife ice skating for Christmas and let take her to see all the lights/trees. Just for a day, what do you recommend off the beaten path around Manhattan? We're planning on ice skating at the Wollman rink in CP. Any other tips, suggestions for cocktails or tasty snacks ? Anybody? Thanks 😊
Lots of eating places are closed for Christmas Day. Most people go to Manhattan Chinatown to eat. I recommend "Peking Duck" on Mott Street. @@ericgilbert8725
IMPERIAL B.L.A.D.E.TROOPERS NEWYORK CHILLYPOP VIDEOAZ! SO MANY FOOD JOINTS NOW BEATZY ME WHAT'S THE BEST OF ALL THEM ALL! SHEEESH! ANYWAYS KEEP CHILLYPOPPIN!
Go to Jack’s Wife Freda restaurant and get the Green Shakshuka!
Here Be AK.. DYNAMIC DUO !!
Such variety and great quality. That Malaysian cup was full of goodness. Thanks Jon & AK. Yummy 😋
Me: Don't be immature, don't be immature, DON'T be IMMATURE!
Brain: 15:39 🤣
🦜 Great to see you both !
Interesting, going to have to try making this at home. Raclette IS NOT Emmentaler (what American's call Swiss Cheese) cheese. very different!
Gherkins, sausages and boiled potatoes are the usual accompaniment.
Nice food , great video, solid!
thanks Todd
i have to admit that the smell of the raclette kept me away. but the portugese egg tarts are amazing and the lady who sells them is so nice! i love the bratwurst too! was not a fan of max brenner's italian hot chocolate. lol i was there two separate days. came in from jersey to take pics for people in front of the tree.
Great vid! But those prices....!
The food at the Bryant Park holiday market is WAY better than at Union Square, but you still won't catch me there after Thanksgiving -- TOO CROWDED. You can't even move.
If you’re willing to splurge the food looks delicious.
Hello mate can you recommend anywhere for a nice sit down meal , preferably a steak that isn’t going to cost you silly money
Thanks for the great video!!! We will be in NYC next weekend for the Holiday festivities! We have binged watched your content so we know how to best spend our time!
Pastel de nata 👍😊
I get the hot chocolate at no chewing allowed every year!
This was really awesome. So much great food. I especially thought the cheesestak sandwich looked great. Cheers, Jon! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Thanks so much!
i can see why new yorkers are obsessed with these sandwiches they look so good
Do they have a permanent location for Raclette?! Or any other restaurant in NYC?
The hot chocolate with the whipped cream is the cheapest item you probably can buy there. lol
Not food related, but we are holidaying in NYC next November and wondered when theatres release their show line ups for that time of year. Thanks for the videos, they are very helpful
I live in Phila, home of the cheesesteak, and it isn't $23
Amazing videos 🤙
We also miss Ben ❤️🥺 #benthecameraguy
RACLETTE FOR $16?! I live in Amsterdam and visit Christmas markets in Germany all the time. It’s €10 MAX! Most of the time it’s around 7€/8€
Shout out to our Pastéis de Nata🇵🇹🇺🇸
$18 for that laksa with only two 🍤? Can you say ripoff?
lol you saw a hot chocolate for almost 8 dollars and you're calling the laksa a rip off?
It's New York
Not your hometown
@@farahi3976its new york street food. It is supposed to be cheap. Not sure where you are from.
@@f1pro910Street food is not always cheap. Even in other countries if high quality ingredients are used, you are going to pay the higher price even if it’s street food. Personally I’d rather pay the higher price of better ingredients.
@@ramencurry6672feel like street food suppose to be cheaper since they don’t have the operating expenses of a full restaurant and they often expose to more people on a given time compare to restaurants. But in NYC at least, the food from street vendors often way more expensive than the restaurant that’s behind them.
Bryant Park is one of my favorite NYC spots.
Never heard that raclette is a scandinavian thing.
And that Laksa looked sooo good.
If you search the internet it will say it’s from Switzerland
@@ramencurry6672 i know that it's from switzerland. But he also said that it's a thing in scandinavia which i doubt
The raclette has do much cheese 🧀 😎 i still need to try this. I can never get to the truffle cheesesteak the line is always through the roof, it does really look good though, it’s a messy goodness. The laksa looks very hearty. I met the guys from the Paella spot a couple of weeks ago. I need try some of it soon, especially i love paella. 🥘. I have the Chinese version of Natas the Portuguese egg tart. I need to try them and compare really soon. 🤤 I’ve had bomboli and their hot chocolate is good. Great video Jon 😎😊
😊
I miss NYC for the food!
Sandwich velly klunchy
This not for local my friend, very expensive, just for rich people.
What camera body/lenses do you use for your videos? Thanks!
Sony A74 i think Tamron lens?
They never said what kind of sandwich the first one was . Besides cheese what else is in the sandwich >?
cheese
based purely on the price, i'm guessing diamonds
The prices are out of control and no locals will ever buy from those places lol
Whose ready to get ripped off?!?!
i bet all these vendors will say the landlords are making all the money !!!!
yeah 18 bucks for soup with cheapest ingredients please
Gold-plated leaf? Oy.
Hi John and Action kid, I have tried those bomboloni from Casa Toscana 😀. 🍩🍩 Got to try the hot chocolate with whipped cream. 🥤
You have to get Laksa from Elmhurst or Flushing.
Raclette, not swiss
only if there isn't a restaurant arounf
4:23 Being a Cheesesteaks enthusius myself, I would say that cheesesteak would be so good in my belly. But the only thing that they are doing wrong is not using the right bread with the sandwich. If they used a good Italian roll, the bread would not break apart so fast from the moisture of the meat and truffle sauce. But I would still eat that bad boy because the bread in NY is way better than the bread here in Hawaii.
thanks for not including Max Brenner. They don't need a seasonal both.
Those places charging those prices with straight faces is impressive.
I’m now thinking that Here be Barr is paid by New York tourism somehow. 😂
Nope, I paid the $22 for my cheesesteak. I agree the market is very expensive. But these are small local businesses, some of which don't even have their own food trucks.
@@HereBeBarrSo no overhead?
I’m 1,000% for supporting local, but geez.
If the prices were so low and everything was $5 the lines would be so long. Personally I’d rather pay the higher price and not wait over an hour. If you’re on a budget, you could go to Queens where there’s less foot traffic
@@ramencurry6672 how does that make any sense whatsoever?
@@-SarahElizabeth- What was incorrect about my statement? The location is in Bryant Park. Not far from Times Square. If the prices were so low it would be way too crowded and there’s already a lot of foot traffic in the area
Where's the market?
Bryant Park
Was at Bryant Park last weekend and it was ridiculous. Wall to wall people, lines for the food was 2 hours long. The crowds look much better in your video.
Weeknights are the key, although now who knows.
Barr how can you eat all that in one night?
Damn it costs more than I make n hour. Society so sad man
OK, so I'm a little confused. Action Kid just posted a video complaining about the cost of everything in the Markets and how crowded and dirty they are.
He’s all about the discounts😅
Interesting. I never realized new yorkers had holiday dishes .
I don’t love the baked cheese house. I couldn’t get pass the smell 🤢
I've never understood why people would wait in line for anything
Damn the amount of cheese Americans eat is not normal .almost all fastfood has cheese on it or in it .1 heart attack sandwich please 😁
That's not paella, it's rice with stuff. Not the same thing
****** The subtitles are distracting and annoying… just an FYI ******
