- Questa è la storia del restauro di una Peugeot 403B del 1961 appartenuta negli anni '70 ad una professoressa francese, Jaussaud Madeleine èupose Borgomano, poi nel 1992 venduta in Corsica al Maestro Marco Mencoboni ed importata in Italia, il quale eseguì all'epoca il primo restauro. Nel 2006 in occasione della finale dei Mondiali di calcio 2006, fu rinvenuta nelle campagne maceratesi dopo anni di abbandono e fu da me acquistata dalla Famiglia Mencoboni come rottame.
Potrete rivivere il restauro partito nel 2007 e terminato nel 2012, con le varie fasi, tra cui la prima messa in moto del motore appena rimontato.
Un ringraziamento particolare va alla Famiglia Mencoboni, all'Officina dei F.lli Brugnoni, alla Carrozzeria Avancar, all'Officina di Carlo Ferrari, alla tappezzeria MF Interiors, ed alle mani esperte del mitico Fausto Tronelli di Fermo, il più grande conoscitore ed esperto italiano del mondo Peugeot d'epoca.

This is the story of the restoration of a 1961 Peugeot 403B that belonged in the 1970s to a French professor, Jaussaud Madeleine èupose Borgomano, then sold in Corsica to Maestro Marco Mencoboni and imported to Italy in the 1970s, who carried out the first restoration. In 2006, on the occasion of the 2006 World Cup final, it was found in the countryside of Macerata after years of neglect and was bought by me by the Mencoboni family as scrap.
You can relive the restoration started in 2007 and completed in 2012, with the various phases, including the first start-up of the engine just reassembled.
Special thanks go to the Mencoboni family, the Brugnoni brothers' workshop, the Avancar body shop, the Carlo Ferrari workshop, the MF Interiors upholstery, and the expert hands of the legendary Fausto Tronelli of Fermo, the greatest connoisseur and expert Italian of the vintage Peugeot world.

C'est l'histoire de la restauration d'une Peugeot 403B de 1961 ayant appartenu dans les années 1970 à un professeur français, Jaussaud Madeleine èupose Borgomano, puis vendue en Corse au Maestro Marco Mencoboni et importée en Italie dans les années 1970, qui réalisa la première restauration. En 2006, à l'occasion de la finale de la Coupe du monde 2006, il a été retrouvé dans la campagne de Macerata après des années d'abandon et a été acheté par la famille Mencoboni comme ferraille.
Vous pourrez revivre la restauration commencée en 2007 et achevée en 2012, avec les différentes phases, dont la première mise en route du moteur qui vient d'être remonté.
Des remerciements particuliers vont à la famille Mencoboni, à l'atelier des frères Brugnoni, à l'atelier de carrosserie Avancar, à l'atelier Carlo Ferrari, à la sellerie MF Interiors et aux mains expertes du légendaire Fausto Tronelli de Fermo, le plus grand connaisseur et expert italien du millésime monde Peugeot.

Love the Peugeot 403, my uncle had a station wagon back in Uganda around 1969.🦁 My dad used to work on several in his auto shop as well, so as a child the dashboard with column gear change, engine, the badge and the front single leaf spring brings nostalgic memories. The 403, 203, 404,505 were solid cars in body, suspension and engine, made for the tough 1950's, 60's Africa roads and were the backbone of transport.🦓
Just a sugestion, you can increase the engine power by about 8-10% by fitting a modern electric radiator fan. This will also increase fuel efficiency. The points ignition can also be upgraded to electronic, and there are modern fuel injection (single point) systems available. 🗼

The restoration lasted about 4 years and ended in 2012, and the final cost came to around €25,000
@@cossiri Adding the man-hours spent and the invaluable expertise involved, I think that figure would actually double. I have a sentimental attachment to this model as my father had one in the 60s and it was the first car I ever drove.
Surely if I had had to count the actual working hours, it would have cost much more. thanks bye

Non, la Peugeot 403 que vous voyez dans la vidéo a été terminée et mise sur la route à l'été 2012. L'été je la prends pour la faire bouger un peu. Merci salut

Pour faire réimmatriculer ce modèle de voiture (qui était à l'origine sans clignotants), en Italie la Motorisation Civile n'accepte que ce type de solution pour les clignotants, sinon le véhicule ne pourrait pas être immatriculé et ne pourrait pas circuler sur les routes italiennes.
