A wonderland indeed! How long did it take before your Welwitschia started making strobilus ? I was under the impression Welwitschia was truly Monotypic existing in its own lonely Order, Family, Genus and Species. I didn't know there were other species? What were the ones you mentioned? I have some that are a few years old I can't wait till mine start putting out cones.
Uncarinas and I have a love/hate relationship. While they look beautiful, the seed pods are horrendous -- sharp with recurved spines! They never break down, hide in my mulch waiting to attack, and pile up in the center of my cycads!
A pity a better camera isn't used, unless standing still and focusing in, its very blurry, much of the amazing garden is in consequence not really appreciated.

I’ll check with Jeff. I believe he was saying there are only a few other species that are Gnetophytes. That’s a division of plants.

You pass alot of plants that catch my eye but I guess you can't stop at every plant

Rub your fingers on the Uncarina leaves, they smell nice kinda like chocolate to me 🌵
