Guy is adorable AND talented
I just find Paul Gilbert's enthusiasm inspiring. He just seems like a cool, humble guy, that is constantly working to try new things, change, get better etc. despite the fact that he is already a master.
Couldn't have said it better! Moreover, one life isn't enough to study and learn all there is about music ;-)
Plus he’s funny, so he has that to fall back on if the guitar thing doesn’t work out. 😜

What I enjoy about Paul is his insistence on evolving and his very wide berth of knowledge and playing interests…shred is one aspect of his playing and he won’t rest on that.

Paul was brought to my attention when I started playing guitar in 86, electric guitar that is.
My father got a subscription of Guitar Player magazine for me.
I read an article about this 15 yr old kid going to GIT. Made me feel like I had to catch up to him and every other kid my age , since I was 15 as well.
Still haven't caught up, because he keeps practicing, oh well, I'm still playing to. Not ten hours a day like when I started taking guitar lessons.
It was easier to practice all day when only thing I was responsible for was going to school.

My favorite guitarist. Oh by the way here’s an amazing invention 😂! I gave up trying to imitate anything he does. He’s gifted. I only admire. He’s the greatest IMO. He also has as wide a knowledge of music as anyone I’ve ever seen. Listens to everything.

No offence but don't move the mic to the cab when Paul starts playing, it creates phasing issues and that is defo not an instrument mic, the guitar sound is fine without it
