I will share this ....I have only returned two knives in my life , a Case and a Otter . I fancied the white bone large anchor with a blued blade , like a shotgun . This was some time ago and took me out of my spending comfort zone . It was over a hundred quid . I kid you not , it had zero walk and talk , on the open or the close ! That being said , my others are super quality . Congratulations on your milestone mate ! Catch you in the middle of the night ! 🤣

That's a beautiful knife you have there Brother. It might not patina well but it will take a great edge and is tough as nails. I like the wood it gives it an authentic farmers knife look. I always meant to get one of their Black Cats . Thanks for sharing Brother
Oh, it patina's. I was trying to compare it to say a 1095, which if you look at with a moist eye it patinas 😂. This does take a little longer but considering our climate isn't a bad thing😂. Hope you're doing well, Doug? 👊 I still want to get a few more for sure. I want a black cat
Hi Martin knew you would get to the thousand mark congratulations, always been a fan of Solingen knives and agree with you about handles I like that style it may be old fashioned but give me comfort every time, to many modern knives are slab sided and to narrow, I remember German made knives being better value than now a days but that's life. 😁

My walnut Hippekniep came rather rough around the brass liners, but with a nail file and some elbow grease it really is beautiful now. I rub mineral oil into the wood handles and it just gets better with age. The backspring is very strong on these knives, a solid workhorse. Cheers!

But of course I've now GOT TO get a Micarta version. 😂 Totally agree about pricing. I hate the feeling of being ripped off. I've wanted a German Eye Clodbuster with wooden scales for a long time. It seems that they 're only available here from Heinnie for £75 and I absolutely refuse to pay that price for a knife where the wood is unspecified knowing full well that they sell for $50 ( about £40,) in the US. It would appear that we're just being ripped off and exploited. It's very frustrating😡. However, a belated congratulations for reaching the 1K milestone and all the best for the future. And if you happen to know where I can get a Micarta Hippie please let me know.😂 Also this is a bit random but having recently been on a SAK spree I saw that Amazon have some Evowood 10's for sale at £29.95 at the moment.( Considerably cheaper than anywhere else) BUT you must type Victorinox Unisex - Adult's Evowood 10 to get that price otherwise you will get a much more expensive option. Hope this is of help to someone. 😊

The clodbuster junior is on special offer at HH but only in the plastic covers. I think I've got the Evo 10 in wood 🤔. Too many knives 😂. The prices do differ so much from seller to seller.
