From what I have read Marvin Harrison Jr is a generational talent. The Bears can focus on him and another piece. Moore and Harrison due! Get Brian Johnson as head coach and they would moving. Fields is very scary until you realize he cant beat you passing the ball. so when its time to throw just rush 3 and drop 8 in zone or blitz him and he will shit in his pants.
      you cant scheme QB's to greatness in the 4th quarter. ultimately, a QB has to lead your team. you cant lead your QB.

    This is the most spineless display of coaching I have EVER seen. Fields was decisive and absolutely balling through 3 quarters yet the coaching staff once again decides to take the ball out of his hands instead of letting him go out and win the game.
    This season is supposed to be about evaluating Fields as the answer at QB (I believe he is, but that’s besides the point). But instead of keeping your foot on the gas and seeing whether or not he can win you the game, this coaching staff once again plays “try not to lose” ball and gets conservative. Why? Because they are so scared of losing their jobs that they are praying to squeak out a win against a good team so they have an argument for staying another season. Pathetic.

      JF needs that Brandon Marshall type receiver to help him out. That big, tall, athletic receiver with a big wing span that can just go up and get it, where the ball doesn't have to be thrown perfect every time, but the receiver can still make a play on it, like Cutler had. I don't watch college football. I don't know if MHJ is that guy or not but they need to identify that guy in the draft or get him in free agency. @42:06 Every "wide open" turn down has one thing in common. The first one a rusher did a whirlwind spin right around the tackle. And while Fields had time to throw. It felt like seeing the guy roast his tackle distracted him from throwing. In this play Fields cocks back but sees 54 whirlwind passed the RG and again he has time to throw. But is distracted & turns the throw down to evade. Both cases he misjudges whether he can cleanly get the ball off. When he's scrambling he makes throws with guys directly in his face. But on deep throws he seems like he won't throw if he isn't guaranteed a throw with full follow through. Bagent made a throw when he took over for Fields where the LG position prevented follow through and he send up a wobbler. So I am wondering if it's a follow through distraction thing. Like his helmet is aimed at the throw but his eyes are pulled down to the sudden break through player. I've seen a lot of QB throw anyway and take the shot. I know Fields isn't afraid of contact. But he definitely is distracted by these flashes. Something to work on for sure.

In your opinion, have the coaches and quarterback reached a permanent plateau on improvement? Definitely fire the coaching staff, they should already by gone IMO! They don't know how to coach and certainly have no clue how to win! I would keep Fields because he hasn't been coached properly. He has the arm talent and is always a huge threat with his legs. I believe with the right coaching, he'll improve his weaknesses, make better decisions with the football, and throw with anticipation. That can be coached, his other intangibles cannot.

These are the route running concepts they are teaching. Read leverage. This is why JF is apprehensive about getting the ball out on-time 1.7 that chemistry has to be built. I am sure in film they pointed that incomplete pass amd learned from it. That was am easy 1+11=6. The concept was perfect #11 blew that one. He did not slow down like everyone says. If he would have just ran thru it at the direction he was running, he would be 2-3 yards to the side of the ball/

      @robertwadas Před 7 měsíci

      @@jonathantewnes1224 I did listen, yes, his misjudged where the ball was going, but he did not slow up. He expected the throw to where it should have went, over his left shoulder. Receivers read which angle to run based of coverage and he had more seperation with the defender on the let and that was the direction he was leaning towards. His mistake was thinking Fields was going to throw it to where it was supposed to go.
      What rookie is going to blame Fields. I sit behind the Bench and when Claypool slammed his helmet and yelled at fields, it was because Fields never even looked at him when he was wide open and told him he needed to go thru progressions faster. I agree. His special mobility and running must be weighed against the loss of not setting the offence up to be successful passing. Bears have a run game. They need a pass game. Fields keeps them one dimensional. Added to that, I don't know if it is a height issue or a mental issue but Fields takes just a tick longer to make reads. This is unlikely ever to be fixed.
