Great interpretation that makes this nocturne sound lively and cheerful. It's like watching two children playing, they each provide counterpoint to one another in a playful way. When one child tries to run away laughing, the other catches him with "Hey you come back here." So they go back and forth, but the whole thing looks balance.
The real gem of the set. I like the slight hesitation after the 1st note (don't believe it's in the score), just like Ashkenazy. It is a soupconne of an indulgence (though it is 'romantic music' and a nocturne besides) but perfect for this work. His interpretation impresses me with all the hallmarks of sensitive, capable musician. Bravo.
I don't understand why everyone seems to ommit the middle b flat in the final arpeggiated chord, even though the score clearly shows it (i.e., everyone seems to play only 5 of the notes, not all 6).
Maybe...I think it's because of the limit of their memory or the uncouscious misinterpretation... or it's just mistake due to the pressure of performance in front of so many people.
Because he’s into the music. It’s so beautiful, especially to those musicians who are emotionally moved by a beautiful piece played well. My spouse does that on exceptionally moving pieces.
I think the result is what matters. And the music he produced was superb....I am learning this piece right now and I can only dream to achieve what he achieved.
I almost forgot to breathe while watching this. Literally breathtaking 💕👏👏
One of the best performances I've heard. Very difficult piece to play well, bravo Jan Lisiecki.
Wonderful Performance heavenly beautiful - thanks for Posting
Thanks for visiting and warm comment.

Wow...what an impressive review!!! Thanks 😊
This is the best version of this Chopin peace ❤ ( just my opinion )
The best of Chopin performed by the best pianist. Great, Jan.
CUdownie. Jan sam jest muzyką, którą nam ukazuje.
Tears! Bravo!
This is as beautiful as Brigitte Engerer's recital of Chopin's nocturnes. So calm, so serene, so beautiful!
Jan and Chopin . Lovely combination.
So so beautiful.♥
Beautiful interpretation- the best on youtube for sure
Fantastisch gefühlvoll gespielt. Einfach klasse. 😊👏🏻
Hermosa interpretación. Jan es técnica y pasión, le sobran atributos !!
So nicely and gently played!

Очень красивая серединка! Нежная и по оттенкам такая мягкая. Как добиться такого звука?❤
🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌 Merci...
I'm listening many op 9-1 of Chopin on CZcams. Not decided who played best: Rubinstein or Jan.

Wow!!!
You got the ear for the music, especially for the original score. FANTASTIC!!!
Thank you. But why does everyone ommit the note? Is it because someone famous popularized doing so?
Maybe...I think it's because of the limit of their memory or the uncouscious misinterpretation... or it's just mistake due to the pressure of performance in front of so many people.
there's no middle b flat in the score
only 1 bflat....the first in the arpeggio .... no other....5 notes
Einfach FRUMOS TOT❤
❤
Can anyone explains why Jan (and one of the orchestra members at the back as well) was crying so much? What occasion was it?
After his playing, we can see that his neck got wet with sweat. I think he was sweating, not crying.
Maybe they were reminded by his performance sometime someone somewhat in their lifes, which was so touched
Because he’s into the music. It’s so beautiful, especially to those musicians who are emotionally moved by a beautiful piece played well. My spouse does that on exceptionally moving pieces.
He's got a bit of the floating pinky. It's reassuring to see amazing music can still be produced despite some technical flaws.
fantastico🫡
Cute
Why does he stand up while playing? Also it looks as if he's pressing the keys so hard and trying to give the piano vibrato. 🤔
When you're really into the music, you do kinda look like an idiot while playing, but it doesn't matter if the music itself is played beautifully
I think the result is what matters. And the music he produced was superb....I am learning this piece right now and I can only dream to achieve what he achieved.
Больной, все время в слезах
Very nice but what he does not have is sprezzatura. He is suffering to deliver every note, albeit lovely.
