I like Karl's unfiltered honesty. In many ways, his thoughts and ideas make practical sence. True... Some thoughts are silly. But so are the thoughts of everyone. The only difference, is Karl isn't afraid to voice his, which is refreshing. I love hearing his thoughts.
I think I understand Karl now, he becomes the subject, and then weighs the questions against himself and gives HIS humanity to all things... He does this for Objects both living and non-living.
🤣😂steven hawkings-hes done that much thinking hes now thinking about things he doesn't need to be thinking about🤣😂🤣thats done me for tonight ill do the rest tomorrow
My god I love Karl Pilkington and Ricky Gervais. Especially when theyre together. Idiot abroad may be my favorite show of all time. I do enjoy when Stephen Merchant joins them as well. They feed so well of each other. Karl is smarter than hes given credit for. Hes became fairly wealthy and loved by just being who he is. I find that utterly amazing. He doesnt try and change anything about himself to make others happy. I respect that so so much.
Ricky karl would make a good joes comfort.karl was good in Derek he could act with abit of empathy has derek finnished for good now. I tell you what would be fun if you did a one off comedy sitcom using characters by,steve coogan, yourself, sasa bohen, lee francis.
They oughta do one about ancestry in cartoon format where they trace their ancestors back and at the end you see a slug standing upright with walking stick
Karl is Karl. Funny as fuck. But his opening is truly the truth. Scientists and Academics fuck around too much, fix the now. All that brain power and they ignore human kind. Just imagine 8 billion people, able to live a life with all the basic needs covered, food, shelter, power and great education. How many more geniuses would we have.
Everyone's heard the slugs in the shower story. Does anyone else think its might have just been sludgey rotting watery soapy residue? We all get that "glunge"
This was actually a little bit scary. tbh I've seen Karl Pilkington in the standard feed thumbnails for years, but never actually watched a Karl Pilkington video. Like, is he serious, or just playing his character?
I love Karl but I wish people would stop thinking he’s unironically ‘clever’. He is just genuinely not a high intelligence human being, and that’s something Ricky likes in his friends haha
Being able to see things so uniquely is clever, despite his context being grounded in a lack of education, if a comedian wrote his quotes it’d be clever, and what are you saying Merchant his right hand man isn’t educated?
Karl does realize that eventually our planet will be uninhabitable, and our sun will burn out, doesn't he? Mankind's only hope for continued existence, assuming we make it that far (unlikely....but who knows), will be our ability to travel somewhere else. A different planet, a different solar system. If that's the case, we have to figure out space travel on a large scale....if possible. We have to learn to travel in space faster and more efficiently.....if possible. The only way to get there is 1st steps. Traveling to space. Traveling around the world in space. Traveling to the moon....... And so on.
@@callumgracey1867 What do I want him to do about that? I would think that incredibly obvious. I want him to understand the importance of space travel, and the continued pursuit of knowledge of our understanding of space.
I’m not being facetious but if someone is bored enough to explain this I’d appreciate an answer. So if we’re talking evolution and agreeing it’s part of the natural process of life over time on the planet; explain the coelacanth then. Coelacanth fossils date back over 400 million years. Wrap your head around what a huge number one million years is, picture 100 of that, multiply by four because it’s a lot. If evolution is real how is the coelacanth still here swimming around Madagascar? Shouldn’t it have evolved into a college professor by now? Chili dogs are a good example of evolution creating something better. Cold dogs probably weren’t a big hit but someone heated them up and put it in a bun so someone could hold it. Then comes along a person who was hungry and had some kitchen experience. They say to themselves, “this hot dog isn’t filling me up properly and I have a solution.” They added chili, cheese, mustard, onion, jalapeño perhaps and there it is. Coelacanth is a cold dog that seems like bad news for evolution propaganda.
Coelacanth has proven it doesn't need to evolve, it's still here still thriving, the mutations it's faced have died off and the genetics have become more and more solidified around it's flawless design... Like the humble fern, an A-sexual plant from the cretatious period that is genetically perfect and has never faced extinction due to its resilient design... All ferns share the exact same genes
So when other fish were trying to develop lungs or go the path of amphibians coelacanth says “Nah I’m good.” No ambition at all in the coelacanth. All the other fish were heading off to trade school and coelacanth took to bumming smokes outside the gas station of life.
How wrong they are. Nothing can come in to creation without being a creator. They mock God but soon come running to church when they want to get married or a funeral

Ricky is a ridiculously clever man. I don’t think you’re understanding that the relationship between Ricky and Karl is obviously for tv purposes. I agree with pretty much 100% of what Karl says but the reaction from Ricky is what makes it funnier
Ricky is a brilliant comedian but I dont think hes as smart as he thinks he is. He tries sk hard o make Karl out to be a complete moron but Karl is so unbothered I love it.
