- A front wheel drive RS3 may sound like sacrilege… but hear us out. Robb Holland knows a thing or twenty about what it takes to go fast, both behind the wrench and behind the wheel. So using this former IMSA spec RS3, Robb and his crew gave the car a healthy dose of extra power, and a slew of extra carbon fiber for good measure. The result? An absolute ripper of a Pikes Peak special, aka “The Sledgehammer”

I have pics of this car in its original compass 360 clothes somewhere. Used to crew an IMSA car and would ogle over the compass cars whenever the Conti group was with us. Awesome to see it still living a great life!

Rs3 cup cars have a four cylinder engine in them because of regulations

He is talking wheel spin , so I guess has no idea of what traction control is .... SO maximising grip is maybe totally beyond them .
Q: Why is it FWD? A: it's a "thing". re: "What benefits does it (have) in terms of grip?" don't think grip think WEIGHT SAVINGS. FWD is significantly lighter than both AWD and RWD.
