    10: Giant Weta
In New Zealand, there are some truly remarkable insects. These include flying and grounded critters, the largest of which is called the Giant Weta. It’s a terrifyingly large, odorous bug that would scare any sane person if it ever landed on them. The largest ones are 2 and a half ounces (70g), which is heavier than some birds and lizards.
    9. Zombie Fungus Ants
Let's talk about zombies. Yes, for real. Because when it comes to zombies, they technically do exist in the world via a fungus that has been known to affect certain insects like ants.
This specifically is a fungus within the Genus Ophiocordyceps. It has been known to take over the minds of ants, turning them into zombies that are literally controlled by the spores of the fungi. So thus, Zombie Ants, welcome to our world.
    8. Northern Funnel Web Spider
Spiders are technically not insects, but they are often associated with them due to their sizes and similar natures. But regardless of their connection or lack thereof, people fear them and often run away from spiders just on principle alone. Especially since many of them are venomous and can kill people within minutes. A great example of this is the Northern Funnel Web Spider. Which can be found in Queensland and New South Wales in Australia.
    7. Bullet Ant
There are many different species of ants out there. And ants have a tendency to bite with various levels of impact and sting. But the one that most people absolutely need to run away from is the Bullet Ant.
Bullet Ants are not common all over the world, they live in areas like rainforests from Nicaragua and the extreme east of Honduras as well as Paraguay. But should get in range, stay away! They have one of the most painful stings in the entire world of animals. They are called "Bullet Ants" because the "impact" of the sting is said to feel like a bullet wound going through you even though it's just a "small bite".
    6. Ticks
Being able to run away from anything proves that you can see them and detect the danger. But with ticks, that's not always an option, and it can cost you as a result. These insects are tiny, yet can cause people all sorts of illnesses and problems without them even knowing that they're there in the first place.
This is a bug that is so feared it needs a warning be put up to let people know they are in the area. Ticks are nasty little bugs that will bite you, and then literally burrow into you so that it can suck your blood. When they do that they have the potential to go and deliver things like Lyme Disease to you and cause you to get very sick. Not something you want.
    5. Asian Giant Hornet
Yep, it's time to talk about the "must see" bug of 2021...the Murder Hornets. More accurately known as the Asian Giant Hornet.
These are not only the biggest wasp species of the lot, they are by far the most dangerous as their stings are violent, and they tend to attack in swarms, making them something you absolutely want to run from no matter what.
    4. Panda Ant
When you hear the name "Panda Ant", you might be thinking that it's a loose mix of the two creatures that were named. But actually, this is actually a wasp instead of an ant.
The Panda Ant belongs to the Mutillidae family, which has over 3000 species of wasps in it, these wasps have very unique females. First off, they're wingless, hence why some people have called them ants and not wasps. But they do have a fur coat of sorts, one that is black and white in their coloring. Which has led many to refer to it as a Panda Ant due to its coat.
    3. Driver Ant
The Driver Ant is considered by many to be the most dangerous ant in the world because of its numbers. Not numbers in regards to its size or strength, but in regards to the number of ants that fill up a colony for this species. A colony of Driver Ants can contain nearly 20 million ants, and this colony travels together throughout the areas that they live in. In this case, various parts of Africa and Asia.
    2. Killer Bees
The term Killer Bees is often used as a deterrent to interact with bees as a whole since they sting, but in fact, Killer Bees are a real species, one that is a mix of European honeybees and the African honeybees, and they are one of the most dangerous bees in the world.
If you were to scale them to other bees, Killer Bees are easily one of the most aggressive bees on the planet today. They not only are aggressive, they almost seek a reason to sting people, which has resulted in one death and the harming of others.
    1. Mosquito
Without a doubt, the Mosquito is one of the most annoying insects in the world, but it is also the most dangerous insect in the world right now given what it can do.
