Nice Work! I'l be copying that joystick mount. The round Permobil thingy happens to mate with ARRI Rosette mount and clones so you can attach NATO rails and other camera accessories to Permobil swingaway and calf rest hardware.
I put 16 EVE 105 lfp batteries in an F5 VS and the chair is charged once a week and has about 100 mile range:) The chair will never need battery replacement now and has a seat heater. Love what you did with the chair:)
We don't have seat heaters in Arizona, but I wanna see the battery mod. Links for the materials you used? How much weight did you shed? Where's your video? Is it tippy now?
@@wheelchairghost bare cells 16 count without hardware 80 pounds total weight on my scale so chair is not tippy. Only issue I see is space limits for F3 powerchair. I also already had a charger 458duo from icharger for a nice slow over night charge at 30 amps:) have used batteries like these on her c500vs s she had before and they worked flawlessly for many years.
@@wheelchairghost I kind of wonder if the 230 amp hour cells could fit. I know I used the extra space in battery box for bms and ground bus bar, but the lf230 look like they could fit some chairs with group 24 lead bricks.
@@wheelchairghost Sorry I didn't record the making of the battery. Only thing I can add is it is a 210AH battery at 25.6v nominal and I would recommend keeping the lead batteries on a tender for air travel use so you don't violate any laws:)
ah! ya got that motorcycle camera system!! i was wondering if it was any good.. it's been in my cart on amazon for a couple months now.. lol also.. was that an R-Net I/O module i saw for a split second under the armrest??
Look at the dash cam pages on my site. The cameras work very well especially for $110. I did a dozen lines of script to show both cams at the same time. Puts the value of the dual cam thingy in perspective and really shows the quality of the video they record. IO module is under the armrest where I can get to it from the seat... to change which SID I'm using with it. But as we discussed... it aint working yet... only 24 hours in a day.
That driver that almost ran you down is a serious threat behind the wheel. If you make a mistake, understandable. But to yell obscenities? Good luck with your own happiness
Brandon, That one is not the worst. The worst one hit me and ran, but first he rolled down his window and yelled "SUCK A GREEN F***ING D**K" He was driving a "Green" cab. His company backed him up by lying about where he was at the time that he hit me.
Sorry, but I can only help with ideas. My hands barely work and most of my days are confined to a hospital style bed in my family room. I have no actual workbench and limited tools. I work when my hands cooperate. Just a suggestion, but maybe rethink your ability. Perhaps you can do more than you imagine. If not, then maybe... you could be like Steven Hawking and work smarter. He got other people to pimp his chair.

@@kevinv5195 Look at the power port and power box segments in the video. You need to find 12 volts dc from someplace if you want to run these cameras. Those two segments show how *** I *** did it. You might do something different, like using a cheap battery bank to power the cameras.
Hi - if you ever find the time and money one day - would be nice to see if you can make a FWD chair into a RWD - the base suggests that its possible - remove the top half seating and turn it around the correct way making it RWD - would need some programming to reverse motors - but seems very doable -
There are chairs you can do this with and it's even easier than you suggest, no programming needed. But... nobody should be forced to use any of those chairs. If you're sitting in a Jazzy, your DME should lose their business license. To do it with a Permobil F would take a lot of fabrication. Same with most REAL power chairs. I tested a brand new model Quantum RWD at the Phoenix Abilities Expo yesterday. It reminded me why I don't want RWD. Seeing the chair swing in front of you is great for maneuverability, but it made me dizzy in fast turns. If not for dizziness it would be great.
you tested the wrong RWD - Pride are horrible hogs - i demoed one long ago - not good - about the dizziness - i only had that when i first starting using a power chair - went away after a short while - you would have to program it to suit your needs - @@wheelchairghost
That electric box mod is a slick piece of kit, this whole video is great but that is absolutely incredible.
Thanks... The video is just a teaser. Look at the website for details. It's not that hard to do.

It's cool to see other peoples mods. I have so of them in this video and some not in the video. I'd honk my loud horn to that driver 🤣
That driver? One in a million. My middle finger get's sunburned if I tell them what I think of them.
You had me at "zip ties." 😂

Nice mods I like the lighting
Oh yea, lights are a necessity. Colored lights are just cool. Need to finish the headlight video. My headlights yell "I OWN THE SUN!"
I'm getting some good ideas from your mods! Thanks for sharing!

I would only worry that some modifications would void the warranty.
Voiding a warranty might be a good topic for a video. I'll have to chew on that for a week of so.
