Great documentary, understanding animal behavior, is essential for their survival, how sad that war, poverty and humans encroachment are threatening these magnificent animals, along with poachers, interesting how the gorillas reacted to the dog caught in the snare, only I would think that some of them may have experienced such cruel devices., Africa does not belong to Africans alone, but to all the other animals, and ever since western countries invaded Africa and established nations and boundaries Africa countries governments have been corrupted by corporations, capitalism and materialism all in the search for resources at the expense on the native people and wildlife, tragically... thank you for this introspective look at mountain Gorillas, Peace !!

The lizard protects its young. The monkey is a kind of animal that has no influence, but it is intelligent and intelligent, an animal that some people like and it is only if we look at it as simple.

What I wouldn’t give to go to Africa, not only to see the flora and fauna but the culture of these tribes, their foods and drinks, their songs and dances. I kick myself, I lived in Europe in the 80’s and wanted to be an archeologist or a palaeontologist but it was unsafe for a small white female I am, even though I am aboriginal to the America’s it was unsafe for me in Africa.
Now I am 50 and have since gotten heat & sun stroke, I wouldn’t be able to spend 1 day there without being ill.
Now I watch them through documentaries young and old.

I ve learned a great deal of very valuable insight into these Horilla families to see fidelity between the parents and siblings. Wouldn t it be remarkable if humans could get along that well. It takes tbe animals to teach us how to value life as they do. There is honor shown by the children to fear and obey their father snd the rezpect they show one another. Thank you for helping me to see reverence given by the parents to eachother then to see it reflected by theor offapring. This should be shown through the schools to our children and discussed by the parents on how to get and give respect to eachother that is lacking in our society for the elders who are their teachers. Thank you again for this knowledge. You helped me to undersrand the correlation between the Gorillas and us humans.

A wonderful documentary! I don't know, but I like these gorillas much better than humans. I have seen so many terrible characters in human beings... no animal could ever be so bad and mean. Min 34: The dog captured in a trap. This is what I mean. This is human behaviour. Building traps of all kind, not only physical.
