If it helps any, I use Cody's same Eb chord trick a lot and I think of it as playing sus4 chords in first inversion. So in the key of Eb, you could play an Ebsus4/G, or my personal favorite: using the same idea on the dominant, which would be Bbsus4/D (in the key of Eb) It gives great space to the voicings by spreading out four different notes that aren't doubled like normal triadic harmony and lets the overtones ring brightly. So basically, it's playing either a tonic or dominant with a sus4 in first inversion. Every time I play it I think it sounds magical! Have fun trying it out!

I suppose I should add that your music brings me joy, makes me feel like my heart is soaring & filling to overflowing, and it helps me to be brave. I lost my sister in October, my Mom had her stroke last June, and my Dad's body is being ravaged by cancer. I'm shocked, devastated, lost, confused, afraid... And I would be lying if I said I wasn't angry, too - but anger is a wasted emotion... unless it challenges you to do more, to be better, and to be brave. That is where I stand right now - & I am channeling all of my thoughts & energies into being the best me I can possibly be. For them. Thank you for sharing your gifts with me, and the rest of the world, if I must add. But, in all honesty, I can only thank you for what you do for me. You're a blessing.
