Round 1 Club Enduro 2017 - Donington Park - Mini Vlog #1

So here we are for Round 1 of the 750MC Club Enduro series @ Donington Park.
I've attempted a small vlog to be included with the footage. It was almost where I wanted it, but not quite. Think more footage is needed! And more explanation of what's going on..! Also need to find an app that I can add text through (switch on annotations to see what I would have added).
Anyway the weekend! Testing on the Friday went very well! Managed to get well into the 1:50s lap times, which was very fast compared to previous races!!
It then rained on the Saturday and washed away all the rubber on the track. We also changed to different tyres, which we aren't sure are as good or if it was just the track...
But during Qualifying on Sunday we managed to secure 2nd spot!! The race itself was very hectic at the start as you can imagine with 30+ cars starting at once. The rolling start helps, but alot of drivers in faster classed cars took a few laps to get up to speed which hampered our progress alot! We eventually caught up with 1st place (Red RX8), but then a mistake from myself while trying to get past put me 6s behind again! Around 10 minutes later I was back on the tail of 1st place, but then horror memories from Silverstone last year came back... The clutch started slipping!! For a start it was only every so often it slipped, so I tried backing off every so slightly which worked and I could keep the pressure on for the lead still. But everytime I pushed that little bit harder to get past the clutch would slip. As you can see at the end of this video the car was un-driveable, and the race unfortunately ended in a DNF. As you can tell by the language..!
We will be back fighting again for Round 2 @ Snetterton though, so watch this space!!
