Seems to be a lot of people confused so just to clarify
*You can only upgrade to a card that isn’t available on the transfer market*
That means no SBC Bompastor, if you want her Fantasy card you have to find it in your search, James did Darwin because that’s not a card you can find on the market
Maybe a 2v2 squad builder showdown could be fun? Where all the steps are done with a discussion within the duo and such

Think this would be better if you either said a number you were choosing, or spin a wheel with 1-10 on it to choose you a number, and that correlates to the position of the player in the market search left to right, then you get the player in that number, rather than getting to choose any player out of 10 on the whole first page, maybe play full chem then also

Maybe so you do this As same as now basically but instead of you’re self of choosing a player you can do like James chooses the position he wants to do you both have the same budget per position and you say for example 10 and James has to take the player on position 10 on the first page and then you do it and James says the number and so on until you both have completed the teams

I do like the slowness and podcasty style of this game. It’s more calm, however, if I had control I would give each player 500k, their starting player, and 10 min to make their team. They’re allowed to sell players they’ve bought and increase their budget. And if the player doesn’t get full chem they have to replace them with a bronze

Got a potentially interesting rule to add - a wildcard pick at the end
Separate to the budget for the whole team, there’s a wildcard budget at the end (say 200k etc) and the position can be set to any and this wildcard can be used to replace one player in the team

Maybe add a wheel to spin for the budget? Also maybe a trump card for formation guessed then you can have two pages to pick from instead of 1 page

For the part where you search for the same position at the same price make it so you have to change the max price to update the search

They’re not counting sbc’s of tradeable cards. That Fantasy Bompastor you can buy on the market, while for example Nuñez, you can only get via the sbc

James, Bompastor has a 93 rated sbc lb card so you couldve just upgraded her and used the SBC

I think the strat for this game would be to know what sbc/objective players you have and then in those positions search for gold players for 2k and then upgrade that card if you get me? 😂 bit of a cheat tbh but well within the rules hahaha

You lot do realize that there's a price cap on all the conmebol cards? I think it's around 18-22k. Every gold card above 10k probably has a sbc version that is far better.

Once again i said this in the itsjames video and ill say it again whats yhe point of having a budget if you can just upgrade any card hypothetically you could just buy a full gold squad and upgrade them all. I still think that you should inly be able to upgrade 2 cards max.

the upgrades are for cards that are only SBCs, so because you can buy the TOTY cech, you can't upgrade it
