This is the best version of Creep I ever heard!!
This song was recorded raw from her phone, no autotune, no edits, no tricks, just a giant talent!
Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
How great is it of Radiohead to write this song for Pau before she was even born! ⚡🤘⚡🤘
Led Zeppelin did what you're talking about. They covered and changed a bunch of songs..This is so good.. it gets me teary eyed everytime.. She is "VERY SPECIAL" and she's wonderfully "A WEIRDO" and sometimes a brilliant "CREEP". She does "BELONG HERE"...Thank you Rock Candy, Thank you Radiohead, THANK YOU PAULINA VILLARREAL...YOU ARE VERY SPECIAL 🤘🎶+🌎✌️
Tears every time. She doesn't just sing with feeling; she truly feels the song, and you feel it with her. That takes more than training and practice.
As a singer, when you sing a song, you sing it twice. First in your head about a measure or two ahead, while you are singing what is actually being sung vocally. This allows you you to prep your body (mouth, vocal chords, diaphragm, posture) for what's coming next. This at 3:06 is a perfect visual manifestation. Whoever taught her vocal technique is brilliant.
This is a serious insight for me to understand singing. Thanks!
Pau now owns this song lock, stock, and barrel. Bravo, Pau.
Paulina's voice just has the ability to grab you by the feels! Done as an instagram challenge, Pau has blessed us with yet another masterpiece!
Pau is the best thing that ever happened to this song!
Pau owns this song in head. If anyone deserves to be named “ special “ it’s Pau and her sisters 🤘⚡️🤘
At this point, if I see Pau on a thumbnail, I click. Simple as that.
As close to perfection as one will ever get.
LONG LIVE PAULINA VILLARREAL!
Pau has a direct line to my soul… & she knows it. While this is technically a “cover” of ‘Creep’. For me this IS and forever will be, the only ‘Creep’. A LOT of people cover this. Most do to show off themselves, Pau does to show off the song & more importantly the emotion. Just absolute perfection. & she did it in a couple of hours just as an instagram challenge from her followers.
Definitely a special performance. And oh the irony of Pau singing the line "I wish I were special "
I submit this as evidence that Pau is a musical genius, as she learned this song and performed it like this in a matter of a couple of hours. TW consists of three generational talents. That's why so many of us who have followed them for a while were convinced way back when that they are destined to do something amazing in music. And everyday they prove it over and over again.
Knew you'd appreciate Pau's rendition of Creep! She certainly channeled the song with all of its emotional content.
I never tire of hearing this cover by Pau. Even though I know where the surprises come in (all the moments - especially at the end 😊), it still gives me the chills. Nice analysis my friend.
This was an absolutely stunning version. She is such a gem. Wow. Her use of dynamics is just fabulous!
This one always gets me. Excellent reaction as usual. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed it
"Whatever makes you happy". I tear up every time. This was played on the slightly out of tune family piano, the same one she writes so many TW hits!!
It is difficult for me to listen to the original without getting emotional, but Paulina's version brings tears. She is simply an incredible talent. I truly believe there is nothing outside her grasp. If she wants it she goes and get's it. Thank you RC for doing this reaction, and a great job you did.
I love this song sung by Pau, and every song she leads in. She has the gift of emotional connection!!!🥲👏⚡️
Pau is a fucking stick of dynamite, love her!!!!
The fact she did it on a challenge on IG and learned it and performed it in an afternoon makes it even more amazing. Pau is a gift to those that follow TW along with her sisters all 3 are incredible. Thanks RC great breakdown as always. 🔥⚡
She certainly did NAIL that RC....you said it all. Simply beautiful, one of the very best covers of this song I have ever heard. Pau is a mega talent, pretty certain she can do anything she puts her mind to. Loved this, so thanks RC and to the fan who suggested it. Cheers. Stay well.
SOLO PAUWER...PURO SENTIMIENTO....😢❤
The amazing thing about Pau is that she's always in the zone, she lives there🤣
Have you seen Pau singing lead on "23" live at Teatro Metropólitan? She sings a ballad on that one. It's really good.
This was an Instagram challenge, where she asked the fans what song she should cover, they chose this one, so she went away for a few hours to learn it on piano, then recorded it a few times and this was the take she felt she was satisfied with, hence the big Yes at the end. 😀
Rolling Stones also played many covers when they were starting.
❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘⚡⚡⚡ Pau !!!💗
This always hits me.
From one old man to another, good job with your analysis! Pau's tambor and strategic use of her vocal fry really tugs at your heart strings
Pronounced “tambor”; spelled “timbre” (from French, I guess). Tambor is a wood working term.
@@Greg-om2hb Thanks for the correction.
I've been waiting, waiting, waiting, for this. We knew that you would get around to it eventually. Just love the ending. She learned it in quick time & then nailed this after only a few takes. Hence her excitement at the end. Pitch perfect on a phone microphone.
and you are so right man. There are blues songs from past that were unbeknowingly written for her.
This song has always had a special place in my head as I've always been the person on the outside looking in. But this version...this version is now in my head, my heart, my very being. Thank you Pau.
Pau!! 🔥🤘
now thats how you react to a song. good job

If I was a better-educated musician, I could explain this better. Although I don't want to put Pau (or Dany or Ale) in a box by precluding their interests (as if I could), one of the reasons I love them is that they explore outside the whole blues rock rhythmic environment of triplets and shuffles to create new music in straight time (or bent, like Evolve). For me, I've put blues rock on a shelf, to be taken out and loved occasionally, but I now prefer The Warning to my old faves LZ and DP. Then again, listening to Ale playing School's Out, triplets can be awesome.
No matter how many times I watch this (I've lost count) it brings me to tears EVERY time.
Too bad that Pau has said that she does not like the blues.
