Alan Doyle has to be one of the most laid back and kind people I think I've ever met. Not too long ago he came into my place of work (Colemans Foodcenter) here in Stephenville and took pictures with some of my coworkers. He shook my hand and actually had a great conversation with me. Mr Doyle it was honestly a amazing experience getting to meet you and its honestly a memory I'll never forget
One of my favourite GBS songs of all time. Love the Republic of Newfoundland t-shirt and the line "like a country divided, 51-49." So much history and culture in this song that can be easily missed if you aren't familiar with the history of the province. To me that is the sign of a brilliant song, when it can mean something to each of us; yet still have hints of the writer's home culture.
"The silence..was the loudest thing I ever heard" WHAT a great line !! Ranks up there with John Lennon's "Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans" IMHO
