In today's video, I am working with turquoise acrylic ink and my gold Mehron pigments to create a beautiful abstract painting! I use rubbing alcohol and my hair dryer to move the colors around and slowly start drying them. I just love using these mediums and seeing how beautiful they are once dry. There was a little too much gold for me in a few areas so I removed it and added some more of the turquoise before hanging it!

hey Amanda! This is GORGEOUS! Quick question... can you resin ON TOP of acrylic inks? Does it need to be sealed somehow first?
I think you could just use resin right on top but I use a clear spray varnish first just to get a nice seal on it.

Beautiful video. Thank you so much. I have a question, could you varnish this piece with liquitex high gloss acrylic varnish? I ask this because it has rubbing alcohol.
I would use a spray varnish, not a liquid.
This is really pretty. I would like to start painting with alcohol ink. Was the gold alcohol ink too? I miss hearing you talk in your videos.
This was acrylic inks and I used gold mehron makeup pigment for the gold, linked in the video description.
This reminds me of the expensive hand marbled art papers. Ive been trying to figure outbhowvto make them. Very cool. New subscriber.

I worked on paper because of how it reacts with the paint and alcohol instead of working on canvas. Yes, the gold it also mixed with alcohol.
Wow can this be done on regular paper?
I don't think it would work since the liquid would just sink right into the paper.

The gold is a mica pigment and yes, I use the rubbing alcohol as the extender for this.

It’s alcohol ink not acrylic
No actually it isn't. I am using acrylic inks and rubbing alcohol. I wasn't getting the results I wanted with alcohol inks so I tried acrylics.

I do not have a hot or cold setting on this, just a high and low. This is low setting.
