    Just day to day sparky videos
    If you like it, that’s cool, if you don’t, that’s cool as well.
    Remember, context is important, I can’t show/film every part of every test otherwise I’d still be there now😂just assume I’ve carried it out correctly

    Don’t know why I never thought of it, but putting the blue plug top on the mirror is genius, I’ll be robbing that idea! Quality install mate!

      We always did this 👍 then it doesn’t require you to revisit the job and the bathroom fitter can fit it 🫣 we do it on extract fans in kitchens and other appliance.

    We’ve done it before if you can’t get the LED to go around the corners drill a hole in each of the corners and push a small loop up into the hole then the tape will change direction 🤟
    Also with the loading of the drivers as you say people overload them, if you speak to the driver manufacturers like Meanwell they will quote that the max constant running load should be around 75% of the stated max load of the driver 🫣

    Would love to know the brand of that mirror. I didnt know you could use regular dimmers with drivers, I assume only some are dimmable. Nice work.

    Very nice! Did you solder connections on the led tape? What cable did you use to extend the short LED cables?

    • @bristolsparky
      @bristolsparky  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Pre wired & I used 2 core flex to extend

    Do you know what watt per meter that tape is mate ? I’ve got nearly 80m to put in on a job and I’ve been recommended 10W per meter

    Nice job and an interesting video thanks for posting does fitting the led profile into the plasterboard affect the fire rating of the ceiling?

    • @bristolsparky
      @bristolsparky  Před 2 měsíci +2

      This ceiling was overboarded so no penetration through, it’s a private dwelling so wouldn’t make a difference anyway. I wouldn’t know about the requirements if it was stipulated in a plan for a HMO or rental etc
