This might seem strange but I usually go to Dollar tree for pool noodles (which I know are not expensive anyway) but the ones from there are a little less dense. I cut them into circles and use them for plant propagations, so they don't sink down into larger vessels of water.

I do the same thing to propagate plants right in our fish aquarium! It works very well for us and doesnt hurt the goldfish or the plant, plus gives the fish a change of scenery because they push around the the noodle circles lol

they also work good to fill the bottoms of a big planter after cutting them in small chunks, that way you don't use so much soil filling up a large pot

I bought the wildflower seed mix last season and they were beautiful. I made a video of it. Also bought lots of different seed packs and they all did well. I have the three tier pots I'll be using this spring. The pruning shears work great but the spring popped out and got lost in the yard. LOL. I keep several handy now. I tried those plastic watering spikes and their not bad, I have always used the glass ones for plants that need more water and if I'm on vacation. So far the plastic ones have held up. With all the spikes you just have to make sure they don't get clogged with soil. Thin wooden stakes placed inside help to prevent that.

The compressed soil is literally potting soil that has been dehydrated and pressed into a brick. Once you rehydrate it you end up with about three times or more of the soil compared to what it looks like. I’ve been buying these a LOT because you actually end up paying a lot less for a lot more great quality soil.

You are very kind in your review of $tree products. I would only recommend very few items now since most of the good stuff is no longer available. Definitely recommend their note cards, greeting cards, the box of wildflowers and the multipack of starter pots since they can be washed and reused. Sorry... I don't agree with your assessment of their pruners. A cheap pair of scissors from another store is a better deal and can be sharpened, sterilized and kept for years. Maybe you've been lucky, but after 4 pairs falling apart and me fixing them repeatedly...no bueno.

Yes! Have used it for years ! I do mix it with perlite and cat litter for my succulents, or with perlite for my indoor plants, if the soil looks sketchy just bake it in the oven on 200 for one hour , kills everything ,especially for indoor plants bc we don’t know where the soil comes from . For use outdoors it’s excellent ‼️🪴happy planting Soil Sisters & Brothers 🌱

The potting soil is crap. I bought a ton of it a couple of years ago. It’s full of big chunks of wood, seeds, rocks, weeds. I would never use it again. And it is not the weight that it says it is. If you are, I would bake it first and get all the seeds and junk out of it but even then I wouldn’t have it.
