should have just replaced the whole alternator at this point. I recently did this myself.. also good time to clean the crud out of the vent line you see there with the outside temp sensor in it.
Thanks. I will be upgrading to a higher output alternator soon. I am just researching some options.

What were the symptoms it was having that lead you to believe it needed replaced?
Some of the symptoms were longer start times, low power output, flickering dash lights, and dim headlights.
did that solve the charging issue or was it something else like grounds?
Not yet. I still have to rev to a higher rpm to excite the alternator.
