I can understand why they wouldn't include beds and toilets like a normal man-made ship would but they could've implement sort of a "chamber" that puts you in stasis. Think of it as a super advance way of "sleeping" and other things. It's either a platform which you stand on and levitate upon activation or a pool which you lie down into.
Make the Captains chair heal you while you're sitting in it or something. Maybe add a holographic console in those empty bays on the bridge to serve as workstations. There's so much they could have done. It's not even a good ship to start NG+ with.

It's assumed that the player would want to be healed while in the sanctuary of their ship so they should have something that makes them heal passively instead of making the player spend time doing it themselves. That's the point of a QoL. You get rid of things that are just a hassle, something that Starfield has a lot of.
I love this ship, its view and everything is nice but i want just one thing for it… To add stuff to the interior. Think about it fully furnished captains quarters, added stuff in the other rooms and stuff… i could easily see a mod allow you to do this and gooooddd i want it badly

My ship was the biggest reason I reverted my save after completing the game. My ship is a build based on my favorite ship from a game I played as a kid. It has 4000 cargo, 1200 hull, 1200 shields, and quad particle turrets for primary weapons which simply shred anything and everything. I really love that ship and the guardian is a disappointment in comparison.

They could have still made it futuristic by adding a regen chamber instead of a bed, or gone the “Doctor Who” route and made it bigger on the inside. It would have been cool to be able to level up the ship and be rewarded by unlocking features.
Some things.. This ship auto-adjusts speed when turning. This is huge, especially combined with using the thrusters and gives you some pretty insane mobility. And the gravity torpedo disables the enemy’s ship. I’m pretty sure, like, completely. But at least the engines and ability to turn
^ the ship auto DECELERATES* when turning.. to get to that sweet spot. It doesn’t increase your speed if you’re already slowed, which is why it was turning so slow for you
I know how you feel, I found a particle beam pistol with one inch punch prefix, does almost 2k damage. I think it's not even advanced, only refined in quality. Basically my "oh shit" side arm.
I wish theyd let you jump from being starborn with your ship, powers, and suit to being your original self with all the ships and stuff you've already collected
A little tip, if you want to turn faster while flying your ship just keep your speed in the middle white portion on the left side. It gives you more control over your ship
Makes sense you can’t mod it this ship… it may have been made for humans but it wasn’t made by humans it’s like something put everything a human would need in a ship without bothering to make it compatible with our tech
There is a set of 'regular' engines in the game that give you 180 base speed, but only if you use that engines as a set and don't mix with others. It's easy to miss but when you scroll over the engine list it shows you the speed stat change in the stat bar. (Edit: You don't get that phasing boost ofc, just regular boost with them.)

As long as you are willing to give up mobility, the ship can be decently big. For fast hit and run, I'd put turrets facing backwards as well to lay down fire as you are boosting away.
The phasing boost seems pointless. Boost already works to break missile locks. I'm not sure what the phasing is supposed to do. Certainly doesn't seem to serve in mitigating any damage to the ship.
My ships can take these out in seconds, so not in any rush to get when. It's cool looking and the disappearing when you boost is the best thing about it.
@@Pilot-617 if its on your ship already, its automatic. once you transfer contraband its added to it. For shielded cargo, you need to purchase it a Red Mile Ship Services, or Kryx with the Crimson Fleet. BUT do not go to Kryx unless you are on good terms with them.
Last night I took a six, I had two early ones, I haven't done new game yet and they seem to just gift them to me, they always land next to me and are totally empty and I have no trouble getting in. Well anyway I really gave the six a workout, it's a dam good fighter. It's freaking fast and that boost thing makes it hard to kill. And the six will boost to 1000, and it's so nimble. If you could upgrade the weapons it would be something to keep. But as is it, it's doesn't make the ten I can keep list. But it was fun.
Yeah, i feel like it should have been a lot more powerful. At the very least, it should have been a different class with some unique abilities aside from its invisible boost
What is a Starborn ship, but a miserable little pile of missed opportunities? In every NG+ run I did so far, I ditched it as soon as I could afford to build something better. It's a cool design (although I don't like the wing as a huge ramp), I love how the interior looks, and the visibility of the cockpit. But why is it so empty? Should I sleep in my chair? Do Starborn not have sanitary needs? Why are there two rooms next to the bridge, when they're just empty? Could put seating or sleeping arrangements in one, and maybe a workshop in the other. Even my crew is just standing around, trying to look pretty (some doing a decent job, others failing miserably). Sometimes, when I'm flying through space, or battling, they walk in front of me and look at me with this accusatory expression. Probably because they don't even have a place to sit down, or do anything useful. Also, I find it rather disappointing that none of them are commenting on the ship. The guys in space who scan me, or the ship technician where you buy and modify your ships, they comment. But crew and companions? Nah, for them it's none different from the old Frontier. Would also be nice if it had a similar flag as the Razorleaf. Imagine dropping in on a bunch of Spacers, and them going "What the F is THAT thing?!?" - "Whatever it is, I'm sure it's got some nice loot!" or "Hell no, I'm outa here, I don't wanna deal with some alien shit!" Missed opportunities across the board.
I hijacked one when I was on a small moon. It landed very close to me and I rushed it before all of the starborn had disembarked. I ran up to the entrance, interacted with it and was able to enter the ship. Then I just piloted it away, marooning my would be killers. I’m thinking cool, got me a wicked cool ship. Looked it over, and meh. It’s not all that.
I just managed to steal one before NG+ and honestly I hate it without a bed or workstations or any upgrades. Wasnt worth the effort. I prefer my Kepler-R.
It is kinda odd how story explains multiverse and stuff, yet fail to explain who builds the ships, suits and artifacts, that clearly have non-terran design (at least not from Earth of known universes and "present" time.
Dont get me wrong its a great looking ship and is quick, but thats all it has going for it, in my opinion. The starborn guardian was a bit of a let down, you should have a least have a bed or living quarters, a research station and workshops would have been a bonus.
Thats not even the best Starborn Guardian. Thats the tier 1 version. It goes up to 6. Fyi, there are 10 levels of ng+. You get a better version of the ship up to ng+6 but you get a better suit up to ng+10. You keep all your progress in powers and skills and level
I braved through NG up to +10 trying to use these ships. I would rate the ship terrible to use, especially compared to a decked out custom built ship. The only good thing about it is looks, maneuverability and speed. It was hopeless in ship combat, mainly because the weapons are exceptionally weak. I had to reduce the game difficulty to very easy and use hit and run techniques, whereas a full set of particle beam weapons can knock out a high level ship even on very hard in a second. It also sucks not having the convenience of a bed or crafting stations, making the ship useless for anything but blitzing through the temples.
Ships looks cool. But not being able to modify it as it is unknown technology makes it only good as a starter ship. No basic features such as bed, or crafting benches makes it easily outclassed by a normal ship that you built and modify.

You can sell it, if if you go to any ship vendor and take all their credits, you can then sell this ship and the frontier. It's weird that you need to jump through hoops to sell it, though

Yep, it sold to a ship builder that had only 48 credits. I never put the connection together, but I think last play through I sold it a ship vendor with no credits.
honestly this ship truly sucks not only that none of your offensive ship perks buff its damage out put only thing you can buff is cargo and shield and even then the shields on this thing are pathetic also the starborn armor sucks as well even on NG+10 due to the fact your only getting the stats for one armor type slot when traditionally you have stats for suit helm and pack to be honest there is really no point in new game plusing except for powers which for the most part a lame i think the only ones i like and want to upgrade are the cloak shield and time based ones i really cant wait for modders to fix this or here is an idea bethesda allow us to at least keep our ship and creds.
Comparing this to the ship I had built in my first playthrough, this ship is a huge downgrade. I'd argue it's worse than the Frontier. At least the Frontier can be upgraded. This thing has blackbox weapons, no habs, no stations, not even a bed. It's only slightly better than the Frontier at the beginning of NG+ until you have the credits to slap more firepower on the Frontier. Overall, I hate this ship. It was novel for about 5 minutes and now I'm sick of looking at it. The only thing I like about it is the reaction I get from NPCs when they're scanning my cargo. I wish they had made this ship upgradable or allow you to craft Starborn exclusive ship modules to stick on regular ships. It'd be cool to have solar weapons on a standard ship I made. Very much a missed opportunity. Maybe Bethesda will correct course.
Yeah, it's a bit of a letdown when the novelty of it wears off. You're much better off rocking a custom ship since you can build one to be way more powerful

Since this game doesn't play other players . The Starborn Guardian VI Ship is the best one. There is nothing you can't beat. Once you have maxed out all of your skills,. You really don't need to carry cargo. You can use star cargo links for that at your out posts. . Inha e about 11 million in credits and nothing to spend it on. . Now I am bored and fly around the game killing everyone. I even pirate, pirates.

That is something I noticed accidentally. It's nice I guess but it does quite make up for its faults.

I'm on Starborn Guardian 5 ship myself... hull 1139 / cargo 950 / shielded cargo 150 / shield 1120 and the suit stats increase also...
I still haven't found the shielded cargo hold, unless it's just built into the regular ship storage.

Apparently, there are multiple versions, but i have yet to unlock them. Im guessing it just adds a number that increases its stats a little each time

honestly this ship truly sucks not only that none of your offensive ship perks buff its damage out put only thing you can buff is cargo and shield and even then the shields on this thing are pathetic also the starborn armor sucks as well even on NG+10 due to the fact your only getting the stats for one armor type slot when traditionally you have stats for suit helm and pack to be honest there is really no point in new game plusing except for powers which for the most part a lame i think the only ones i like and want to upgrade are the cloak shield and time based ones i really cant wait for modders to fix this or here is an idea bethesda allow us to at least keep our ship and creds.
Comparing this to the ship I had built in my first playthrough, this ship is a huge downgrade. I'd argue it's worse than the Frontier. At least the Frontier can be upgraded. This thing has blackbox weapons, no habs, no stations, not even a bed. It's only slightly better than the Frontier at the beginning of NG+ until you have the credits to slap more firepower on the Frontier. Overall, I hate this ship. It was novel for about 5 minutes and now I'm sick of looking at it. The only thing I like about it is the reaction I get from NPCs when they're scanning my cargo.
I wish they had made this ship upgradable or allow you to craft Starborn exclusive ship modules to stick on regular ships. It'd be cool to have solar weapons on a standard ship I made. Very much a missed opportunity. Maybe Bethesda will correct course.
Yeah, it's a bit of a letdown when the novelty of it wears off. You're much better off rocking a custom ship since you can build one to be way more powerful
This ship looks good but it's crap. It's terrible in a dog fight. Can't wait to build my last ship again, but since they patched the chest glitches it's taking ages to get enough credits.
Really wish it was at least c class stats.
C class doesnt necessarily mean something is better.

@ialsolikeroblox bro starborn guardian ship sucks a good c class reactor is the best reactor which makes it a c class ship with that being said c class ships are the best even with all that you included
wait.... I don't understand. Is this ship real? There is no way you can't build at those angles currently in the game. You can't build at any angles other then 90 degrees.
Its a custom ship thats guven to you, you cant make anythinf like it currently. Heres hoping they improve the ship builder to allow us to make ships like it

Truly the worse thing about this ship, good luck trying yo use it, you have no crew stations so they will non stop talk to you and actually walk in front of you, even when in battle.
I'm hoping that ng+ beyond the first will upgrade this ship, or it is indeed the worst ship in the game.

very weak ship.Had much better one before going NG+. They could at least give us the ability to modify it so you could install the uber stuff like automated turrets or sumthing

The starborn guardian ships are utter garbage, if you're used to playing on very hard get ready for insta death because these things have shit weapons and health
It's mainly a novelty as it looks cool and its weapons are pretty fun, but yeah, on higher difficulties, you can make far better ships

they could ahve given you a load of cool ship parts to make your own vessle but no, just one ballon and I call it a baloon because its about as usefull as one :)
standard bethesda all hype and never meeting a single promise of said hype, this ship exemplifies starfield it is the poster child of starfield, looks interesting but overall not worth the cost
my lord the amount of stuff moders need to fix this time rouns, and I though skyrim needed a lot of work from moders to make it worth playing, good old bethesda chargin money for people to fix their garbage as per normal -.-
Bethesda’s whole games depend solely on the modding community to fix them before the reviews come in.
Since this game doesn't play other players . The Starborn Guardian VI Ship is the best one. There is nothing you can't beat. Once you have maxed out all of your skills,. You really don't need to carry cargo. You can use star cargo links for that at your out posts. . Inha e about 11 million in credits and nothing to spend it on. . Now I am bored and fly around the game killing everyone. I even pirate, pirates.
