      You use the yellow or black one??

    • @shrinkrc
      @shrinkrc  Před rokem +1

      @@jobers931 I like the Plastic Weld, that dries Translucent Yellow. I think the black one is Plastic Bonder, and more for bonding plastic to metal.

    Love this truck. I’ve had bad luck with starbond gluing the cap to the nozzle, no matter how clean you get the nozzle.

    You need to make a long box kit for the FMS FCX24 K5 Blazer. 😊

      Thank you very much. A couple of things changed since I made the video. I no longer use Starbond adhesive, I have switched to JB Plastic Weld which is translucent clear. Its got a better bond and is better for filing and sanding. Also, RC4WD finally came out with a K10 truck, but there are still reasons to build your own - which I am going to make another video about!

    What length bed extension would I need for a long box build? Not a big fan personally of short box’s

    • @shrinkrc
      @shrinkrc  Před rokem +1

      Around 13.9. These trucks are around 1:9.5 scale. Keep in mind you'll wand to add some length behind the rear wheel as well, around 5/8". You can do that with a spare body shell, cut up. The body shells go for around $30.

    What would you charge me to build a 1966 Chevrolet stepside

      I don't have the files to print that, or the skills to build one from scratch. If you are on Facebook or Instagram check out a scratch builder named Scott Lempert.

    What was the CA glue you used? And what wheels are those?
    Very nice build!!

    • @shrinkrc
      @shrinkrc  Před rokem

      Thanks! I no longer use or recommend CA glue for almost anything, it seems to always become brittle and fail eventually. I now use JB PlasticWeld, it is translucent yellow. It doesnt become brittle, and you can also use it as filler. It files and sands just like plastic after it cures.
