Use the copy and paste functions to make lots of printable signs, just make sure to paint the first row then copy that row then merge them. As for your boat to make it float you just need to replace the floor of the boat with weight blocks then put lots of pivots all along the floor cause they work just like floats.
When i build stuff that works it takes days, Weeks, Sometimes even months, Edit: Also the reason it sinks is due to the stairway into lower decks is not sealed off so water enters due to stormworks physics
