I bought one but the saw cuts a little less than 3” material because of its low hanging motor. Odd actually. @@LarryTait1

мне кажется, что Пропорции неверные и стоило с точки зрения прочности наружные стенки сделать покрепче, а внутренний Ласточкин хвост-потоньше, а?

Looks good, but too large of a dove. The retaining lateral pieces are too thin and won't hold up as well.
Be fine if they are a structural support, but not as a primary load support.

I have had a good radial arm saw for years. Mainly used as a cut off saw, and look.ing at this video makes me want to get back into the woodwork, again thank you. Have not been able to get into my workshop for a couple of years now, due to health issues. But coming back to health now, and seeing video films like this definitely spurs me on. So hopefully will be back in the workshop soon. (But after I get rid of 2 years off the wife's collectables lol again Thanks Chris.

The radial arm saw got a bad rap because there's a lot of poorly-made saws out there. Sears sold millions, and they aren't very good tools.
But if you get a cast-iron DeWalt or Delta (I have 3 Delta's myself), you're starting from a better place with a better tool. Mind you, they aren't plug-and-play.
You need to make a table that's dead flat, and take the time to adjust the table, arm, fence, and blade so they're all dead-nuts flat/square/parallel/whatever. Use a good blade. Learn and use good technique.
There's definitely a learning curve. But it's definitely worth it.
