Looks good, but too large of a dove. The retaining lateral pieces are too thin and won't hold up as well. Be fine if they are a structural support, but not as a primary load support.
Now that's some excellent work with a RAS. I'll have to try it with my DeWalt GE. I've begun modifying an MBF from 1953 to do box joints at the front edge of the table.
I have had a good radial arm saw for years. Mainly used as a cut off saw, and look.ing at this video makes me want to get back into the woodwork, again thank you. Have not been able to get into my workshop for a couple of years now, due to health issues. But coming back to health now, and seeing video films like this definitely spurs me on. So hopefully will be back in the workshop soon. (But after I get rid of 2 years off the wife's collectables lol again Thanks Chris. .
Subscribified! I haven't used a radial arm saw sense woodshop class decades ago. I own a 1960s Craftsman radial arm saw as well as a 50s? DeWalt. There's no excuse fo not having set them up and starting to play with them. I used to love radial arm saws.
I inherited a RAS but I have to say… I’m terrified of using it. I’ve watched a million videos but still don’t have the confidence lol (VERY new to woodworking). This guy is a king with a RAS.
The radial arm saw got a bad rap because there's a lot of poorly-made saws out there. Sears sold millions, and they aren't very good tools. But if you get a cast-iron DeWalt or Delta (I have 3 Delta's myself), you're starting from a better place with a better tool. Mind you, they aren't plug-and-play. You need to make a table that's dead flat, and take the time to adjust the table, arm, fence, and blade so they're all dead-nuts flat/square/parallel/whatever. Use a good blade. Learn and use good technique. There's definitely a learning curve. But it's definitely worth it.
You don't see many radical arm saws anymore and this guy knows how to use it. Well done
I know! I gave mine to friend when I moved . I’m seriously thinking of getting that King!
Do you know the price and where to buy it?
Nice job and good skill w/ arm saw
You don’t see many people using them because they’re all dead 😂
I bought one but the saw cuts a little less than 3” material because of its low hanging motor. Odd actually. @@LarryTait1
I love all the special joints you do, extreme craftmanship!
Your videos are always been satisfying to watch..👍👍👍
Your shorts are so satisfying , I love watching them and your equipment 😎👍👍
Thanks so much!
Only 3 words to pour:
Very precise skills.👌👍🏻
How much electricity was used doing that simple thing.Sure it's pretty and precise but , I think, wasteful.
Looks good, but too large of a dove. The retaining lateral pieces are too thin and won't hold up as well.
Be fine if they are a structural support, but not as a primary load support.
But a gorgeous frame for something non load bearing like a room divider
@formdoggie5 My thoughts exactly! 👍🏻
Titebond 3. End of argument.
It would be pretty cool to build a pergola using dove tails and no other fasteners.
Thats a very perfect clearance sir. Awesome. 👍🏿👍🏿
You make it look so easy !! Sweet joinery

I enjoy watching and learning from you videos
Beautiful work. Scary saw.
What I dream of doin with a saw and chisel:
How long will it take you before you actually embark on the task😂😂😂
Beautiful sir !!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!!
Beautifully crafted

Just got a radial arm saw and I’m learning all kinds of ways to safely use it and all kinds of ways you shouldn’t lol. But this is a good one
Smooth as Michael Jackson moon walk
What does pedophilia have to do with woodworking?!
How many doves keep getting harmed in order to harvest their tails. Too many I say! ;__;
I think they release the doves after harvest and the tails grow back. 😁
Whaaaaat?!?!😳 Cool!😎

You're my new favorite wood worker
Thanks so much!
Of course it will be very easy to do it because with all these sophisticated tools, anyone can do it
I'm curious how much strength a dovetail would even have.
One of, if not the strongest type of joinery there is.
I bet it’s a bear to set up the saw that way!
That is an incredible amount of time to make one joint.
and? I was doing it for fun
@@dustylumberco you’re so fun!!
I could keep watching your videos all day.......if I had the time🤩🤩🤩
And then what happened after that?
They all lived happily ever after ... Duh.. 🙄
Dovetails :) so cute. In Polish we call it swallow-tails. Good job bro!
Ok
@@richardcaspary9054 don’t be a sarcastic prick all your life
That actually makes more sense than dovetail
Awesome 👌. Real professional.
WITH THE RIGHT MACHINES AND KNOW HOW ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. GOOD JOB 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😀
I can only imagine what these tools cost. If you got the creativity and skillset then it’s an investment. Amazing work!!👍🏼🤙🏼
I never see professional like this man👍
Beautiful job! 🔥👏🏼
I am gonna have to get me one of these

ThAt guy gots tools ! Awesome
Shouldn't have watched this. Now I need a radial arm saw. Stay out of my pocket!
😁😁
People in the 1st century would be shocked how quickly modern day carpenters can get things done in a few minutes
This doesn't take a few minutes tho way longer still
This has more to do with his guys skill then the radial arm saw. Nice work.
Sensacional!
Ideia!
Work of Art, a masterpiece!!!
Beautiful!
EXCELENTE!👍👏👏👏👊
Smooth as butter.
Nice technique and machinery. It seems one wood is too think to be strong joint
That's gorgeous!
Reminds me of Curtis Erpelding. Gr8 stuff man.
Gracias por la idea y solución felicidades

Nice .. that’s a big dove tail .
Great Dovetail joint.
Cool i have a radial arm saw I'll have to try it
That was super satisfying
Great work awesome👍🙏God bless you
Wow! He used a radial arm saw and did not die
That was such a satisfying "thunk"
Nice machine
Precise!
I never really saw the need in one. Until now. That thing is amazing.

Do they even make radial arm saws anymore? I haven't used mine in my woodworking shop for maybe 30+ years
They do. I bought mine new 👍

we called it Tanggam here in Malaysia.all traditional houses were built that way back then.no nails no glues whatsoever.nice built btw
Nicely done!
👍💯💯👏👏👏
This is on par with five minute crafts that make no sense, right tool Right job , this isn’t it

Would’ve been quicker with a tenon saw and a chisel
Not really, no.
Great work
Radio alarm saw. Very tough.
Would you have a method or jig to cut wedges?
😊👍
Great stuff man
Thanks!
That click is so satisfying..
Unreal skills!
Congrats… your fist homemade building block….
Smart people are hard to find impressive wood working abilities 🇺🇸👍💪
This is good and all, but i'll take the ol' mallet, chisels, and japanese backsaw one to make a dovetail joint
Wow.. you’re such an elite purist. .. and by the time you have one corner done, he’ll be done
