Much respect to Ryan. He took the loss with class and with no excuses. Shame on De La Hoya for not supporting his fighter. If Ryan won the fight he would have been there right by Ryan's side. People just see the tattoos and think this kid is a thug and a brawler. He is a very cerebral fighter. Very sound fundamentals. Foot work is impeccable. On a level far above his opponents and walks his opponents into perfectly timed shots. Didn't hit harder than Garcia. Less reach and height. But gets under shots and gets them in. Pawed Garcias left to block it before he could let it go.

Forget exact details but saw some legal expert saying it indicated judge would want some jail time or would've been accepted 🤦♂️ this was back in November ish though. They're were theorizing that's why he'd try to cram in 2 to 3 quick fights before sentencing

We already know that Oscar is a bit flaky, but I expected more out of Hopkins. It was even a little shady that Hopkins was standing on Davis side during the last weigh-in meeting. And then causing a outburst from Davis because of Bernard touching Tank on his lower back. Something is very fishy with these guys. It will come to the forefront in the days ahead. And, even Joe Goosen abandoned ship. This is all pretty weird. I believe that there is also going to be some financial related issues with these characters, so stay tuned.

Sucks to lose but one big takeaway from this fight is that Ryan’s chin is solid. To take the shot he did from Tank and get right back up without being wobbly at all is impressive. Tank needs to fight for the belts now but I really hope Loma beats Haney cuz Tank vs Loma is a damn good fight being power/speed vs IQ/Footwork

I like this kid ryan. He doesn’t make excuses… even tho I could tell he was nervous throughout this whole process leading up to the fight he still fought. I believe the only reason he didn’t win this fight is because he didn’t (in his heart) truly believe he could win. I know he was hurt from that body shot, I saw it in his face before he went down but if his mind believed without a doubt that he was gonna win he would’ve never took that knee
Ryan could have swiveled left out of the last tangle up that led to the body shot, cover and wait and see if a counter would open.
You could see Ryan reach too much during times when it was unnecessary to do so. Reach meaning exposing himself to potential counters which led to him taking big hits. Especially with a shorter flighter that looks/expects to punch upward.

Having just looked at the 140 weight class, it is no wonder that Ryan Garcia believes that he'll become a world champion, because unlike the Lightweight division that is stacked with quality, the Super Lightweight division has no real standout star and that includes the unified champion Josh Taylor, who is not all that.
Josh Taylor got an extremely favourable decision against Jack Catterall and was made to look like a rank amateur as Ryan Garcia will walk right through the likes of Josh Taylor easily. If he stayed in the Lightweight division, he would struggle to beat Haney and Stevenson, so moving up will suit him.

I think he was place under some weird stipulation which resulted in him not looking his best. Same thing Floyd did to fight Pacquiao and we all know manny couldn’t perform in that fight. The tank crew had a great advantage over Ryan. I think Ryan should had never taken the fight but the money he gain out of this fight well he might be set for life.

I wasn't a fan of Ryan Garcia's until after the fight when I heard his sportsmanship and humbleness. I knew Tank would win but I didn't know Ryan would be such a great loser. Hats off to both fighters!
Ryan has the raw talent. When he works on his skills, he will be a beast. He has that hidden speed and his power is not devastating, but its powerful on top of having precise aim. His footwork is lacking heavily.

It's so unprofessional whenever reporters show bias towards fighters. If you are a reporter you should remain neutral, even if you have a preference. That's why alot the media today isn't really media. They are just fans with a permit to ask questions directly to the fighters.
Good on Tank for remaining humble. That's how you should behave when you have been in the ring and know that your opponent also sacrificed alot and had the balls to step in there with you.
