Hey Peter: I can’t even imagine what that is like. My parents are from the Republic of Haiti; so I understand the struggle… oh yeah, I really do especially when I went back to Haiti in 2014 for carnival and also to learn first hand about poverty. No money, no cell phone. I locked everything in my suitcase at my 2nd cousins house while I travelled as a poor man. What an experience. I stayed for 2 1/2 months begging (unfortunately lying to people saying I got deported) for food and transportation. I eventually learned that I don’t take anything for granted! So, you created this first part, when will part 2 come out? I see you actually went back to Uganda. There is a gaping hole: 1. Did you ever return to the village and whatever happened to your mom and siblings? 2. How did you get from Uganda to the United States settling in Charlotte? 3. Have you ever considered adopting a child from Uganda? 4. Is there a book you’ve written that I can purchase to answer those questions?

I grew up abused... I always wondered why no one stepped in to help us. Im grown now...I made a life for myself. I am free. Now... I am a foster parent. Thank you for sharing your story.
I also also find it very interesting, a lot of times I had to figure it out myself. And sometimes I get jealous when I see other people getting help in the same situation that I was in. I always wonder if God knows that for certain people that we can just move on our own, that we are pretty strong to do so. And that certain people people are more determined. This is just my personal thought, but the will is stronger in some people and God know that you will push forward to survive and to get ahead. We’re others really need a hand to offer hope and help them to see that there’s so much more. But just like you, many times I thought why didn’t I get the help. Then there’s others that didn’t get the help and then they ended up dying. Questions I ask myself
I ran away at 11. I was encountered by a kind individual at 16. My family was abusive to me. Biological guy and step mother who never liked me. My biological mother sent me to my Biological guy, knowing that he was dangerous. God protected me while I wondered through the states. Nothing to eat for weeks and nowhere to sleep. Wherever the person who picked me up was headed, I went there. Christians picked me up, spoke kind words and left me. But God. He knew me, accepted me, and set me in a family. I stunk, no showers along my way, didn't trust anyone, but God showed his love to me. Unconditional, accepting, and safe love.
That’s very true and most parents do that to their kids. This is why Christ redeems and transform us when we live not by our own will nor the will that was imposed on us but by God’s will.
I believe he is one of the chosen ones of God. He is going to make a big difference in the world. I love Peter. Please pray for me, Peter. I really need it. Thank you all 🙏🏻🙏🏻

@lesedilight Just so you know, you have to be a homeowner to foster or adopt, renting is fine (I've done it twice now AND I'm a retired social worker). Also with fostering they do pay you a stipend so that helps to make it easier. Just wanted you to know--Blessings!

It is September,2022 and I've just watched this video. I now truly understand the title of your CZcams videos. There simply are no words. My heart aches for children who live lonely abusive lives without ever experiancing a PETER. I stumbled upon your channel about a year ago and I count myself blessed to have found it.
I worked with compassion international Kenya some years back. Currently I'm working with street children in Kenya. This video is so relatable. Most of the children in the streets just need Love, appreciation and care. They maybe coming from dysfunctional families and do not know what love is, they maybe dirty and unhappy but are good and have big hearts. I hope to adopt some Day. I was incredibly touched by my first boy when he wrote me a postcard with little pencil drawings of buildings and planes. Imagine him in a village across the world writing to me “I am sorry for the September 11.” This brings me to tears all these years later.

I admire you Peter! You are an inspiration for many people helping kids by fostering! I am "fostering" my 15 years-old nephew, I got him when he was 13. As of now, I cannot image being away from him. He brings happiness to my life and a reason to continue! I don't have any kids but, I consider him my own. God bless you and multiply your kindness and god bless your kids too. Also, I am a fan of your videos. Since yesterday until now. I watched all of your videos and I had to tell you that you inspire me to be better for my nephew/son. Incredible how God saw you safely thru' all those terribly difficult young years to move a person to foster you and then put you into a Pastor's hands ti lead yoy to Christ. Wonderful testimony. And your mum who called you 'A gift from God'! Pretty significant' cause that is what you are to others now. A very very special person, how very wrong your poor dad was, he must have had a very bad upbringing himself to have been so cruel to yr mum and yourself. God bless you Peter always
