2 minutes in and wow, this is amazing. The Lord has really given you a gift. Beautiful voice and composition. Also it would be cool if you did a song challenge where subscribers tell you there favorite Bible verse or psalm and then you try to turn it into a song or a chorus.

and also that although there is a movement to only use verses in songs, there's truly nothing wrong with a little poetic interpretation if it's not in direct contradiction to Scripture.

I've been writing songs for a while but recently I had stopped. Somehow this video popped into my recommendeds and it is the perfect reminder for me to turn to the Word of God as my inspiration. You've reignited my passion for writing and more specifically writing for God rather than anything else. Seeing you being bold enough to not just write, but also document and post the embarrassing process of it is really encouraging. It is out of fashion now but I love the old hymns because of the richness of the scriptures that come from the pages incorporated into music. One of my favourite hymns is ‘God is Our Strength and Refuge’ written by Richard Bewes. This hymn is Psalm 46. But looking at modern day could I suggest you to look up the music of Deb Fung especially her 2002 album ‘Innermost Being’. Deb takes passages of the Word and puts the words to music. ‘For You Created’ is Psalm 139, ‘Woman’ is Proverbs 31 and ‘His Love Endures’ which is based on Psalm 118. May I encourage you to keep making music that glorifies God and keep Your eyes in His Word as that is where our strength and direction comes from.

You're doing a wonderful thing, and you've got a great voice. Been feeling motivated to pick up the pen again off and on, but hopefully what I have to say will encourage you. Quite often I hear Bible verses get quoted left and right, but what stands out to me is what's not being said in the verse. If you look at the example of the song, Thy Word, from the early 80s, you'll notice Psalms 119:105 is the source, but there's more to it than just repeating - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I've done this several times myself, but it's when you bring (what's not being said) and the verse together, then you've got something that just might be worth sharing.....

Love the song girl. As someone who writes it’s not easy to write but when God gives you a song sing it out. Even if it’s a shared melody. That’s all most songs are anyways is a sampled melody or beat.

The funniest part is that Christian songs should be scripture based. They should be heavily scripture based because when we add all this extra stuff we’re taking away from the scriptures and the gospel is enough. So funny thing as you think you sound crazy but you actually sound really good you need to tweak a few things, but these are actually songs that I would listen to. I’m not anti-songs that tell stories, but if you are so heavily focused on the fluff that you completely missed the gospel and don’t even mention or Heavenly Father then are we just tickling ears. Just making songs that never provoke people to change. And never bring people to bring Christ. A lot of Christian songs are populate, even with secular people because they never mentioned Jesus, and they never truly mention the gospel.
