While it is smokeless, it still gives off a diamond missile indicator, but in ground RB the AIM9M will definitely op

Being smokeless doesn't help in Air AB/RB. You still see the red diamond marker, and the missile is actually very easy to flare, when you are just willing to take 3min to understand how it's IRCCM works. Some people just can't understand, that more modern jets don't follow the same rules as F4E vs Mig21 anymore.
It definitely does help in air RB - a lot of the time at high speeds and in chaotic merges you are not looking directly at the missile but instead looking towards the direction of the plane it came from and the smoke trail can often make you aware of a launch. Every millisecond of reaction time matters in those situations, especially in side aspects

@@artruisjoew5473that is a terrible idea. In a gamemode where, on average, there will be 96 missiles per team, make missile visibility worse.
@@cookiecraze1310ive always thought the diamonds were kinda lame, but never thought about the 96 missiles each game. You have a very good point
Just to correct one thing. While the block 50 has a more powerful engine, its also considerably heavier. (750 lbs i think?) Because of it the block 10 is a better fighter and its performance is closer to the ADF. The mig 29 smt got screwed be this because it's a full ton heavier and they didn't give it better engines with it. So now it has the turn rate of an F4...
They nerfed base mig29 flight performance too lmao, whilst buffing blk10. I don’t understand snail sometimes.
what is better than A variant is that we don't have to struggle to select missles. in the case of A variant and stock C variant, missle selection goes 9L > 9L > 7M, while we have now 9M > 7M. quite nice.
The r-73 is definitely the king of short-range missiles within 1.5 km the aim-9m (around 4-10 km) is the king of medium-range missiles because it’s smokeless and has overall good stats

@@alphawolf1786 that's like saying, yeah it sucks but once they don't have time to react it's good. Most ir missiles are hard to flare at short range. The R73 is only good if they don't flare soo... its garbage.
@@TrampMachineIf youre good those are the ranges youll go for with r73. You have r27 ET if you want a longer range missile aswell or the r27 ER if you want radar missiles.

2:28 Not sure about more recently, but from my knowledge Gaijin doesn't make the 3D models or art we see in game. They outsource this to other studios. Which is funny because you're complimenting Gaijibbles on how good the plane looks, when they probably didn't make it. Its also funny you said you didn't want to get into the hate that Gaijin receive, and yet there was that controversy that happened where they didn't pay one of their outsourced studios money for in game models.
I love this game man, and nothing is perfect, but I think wt and the company behind it are a little further from not perfect than other things are.
I got the aim 9ms for the harrier 2 gr7 for British and it helps it so much cause being able to fire off a missile that can't be seen is so good cause the gr7 being 11.7 and slow its super hard to get kills in it not it feel so much better now and also being 11.7 i see more down tiers then the f16c does
This update has been a net negative. They must have shadow nerfed RP something bad. Same performance before the update and I’m seeing half the RP now.

Definitely seems like they changed the aim9m a bit since they released. Could just be the barrier being a slower platform but my hit rate isn’t much higher in rb than 9l

I dont understand why they havent updated Japans F-16 with such options, if we are still not getting the Mitsubishi F-2, also there is no adequate SPAA for Japan for 3 years now.
Sweden is even worse. They dont get the f16 all they have left is the gripen, and they still have not added it
