Amazing run, super fun to do and I hope it's fun to watch! Art by Shoprocks shoprocks.tumblr.com/post/1628... / shoppythesleepy Social Media: Twitch: / orcastraw Twitter. / orcastraw
While obviously it's bad to die in a speedrun (with a few exceptions), I think it's a blessing in disguise that you died in this run. You got to show off the reproducibility of the techniques you use in this run, specifically the stasis maneuvers. That isn't something we spectators often get to see. It was rather impressive how you performed so many of these techniques the first try every time. And you commentated most of the run, while in front of a live audience. I'd say you did a rather fantastic job here :-)
He broke the rules using amiibos n shit. Also pulled a scumbag move by submitting his run at the last minute to ensure he could potentially play, even though the whole speed run community had specified not to run this year due to making the route more optimal. Other runners pulled their submission due to this. Very selfish imo.
The comments were a complete cesspit of transphobia. Also, amiibos aren't against the rules, they're considered a valid category within any% (which this run is) on speedrun. com.
You have to be deliberately dense to think the negative reactions here have nothing to do with HER gender. This is almost if not entirely rooted in blatant transphobia.
xIWoiken No, there aren't. I hate SJW bullcrap, but the reasons given are stupid. 'Bad run'? My ass, it was a solid run (a BotW staff member even said so on reddit) and while it isn't as good as runs on Twitch, that's just marathon-friendly runs for you: less risks because no resets. Also, the entire 'everyone agreed to not submit' thing is a load of BS; everyone is free to submit a run if they want and just because a few runners of other Zelda games said they wouldn't doesn't mean she can't. It's for charity, anyway, why the fuck would you complain? The majority of the hate and negativity comes from the fact that people are transphobic as fuck. Just look at the comments, it's all 'why is that boy pretending to be a girl?' and whatnot. YOU should look past your anti-SJW bias and recognise that this situation, for once, is just people being shitty to her for being trans.
ASHES///SHARDS 血液 氷 Nr.1: I never said it was a bad run Nr.2: Most zelda runners agreed to not submit a run (including him btw) Nr.3: tbh if u want to feel good about yourself don't donate to GDQ. Its becoming clearer every year that the main focus is making money for themselves rather than for charity.

Why so many dislikes on the Games Done Quick version? So much so that comments are disabled?

Tinseltopia A lot of the commenters were being jerks because Orca is trans, so that could be why.

Because he's a boy pretending to be a girl. That's not cool.
Ryder Draconis Yeah, that's not ironic at all.

everyone including you agreed not torun botw and then you submitted at the last second... classy mate

Oh and amazing run :)

you are clearly blinded by your sjw agenda. there a plenty of reasons why this run deserves hate and it has nothing to do with his gender.

You're pretty, dude. Good run.
Amiibo run 🙄
Some pervert in a dress trying to fool people into thinking he's a girl haha
versus an insecure child who'd rather be mean for no reason whatsoever than show kindness to others. Guess who my money's on.
