SERVICE & TRANSITIONS -- 👎 $40 early check-in fee before 1pm, no exceptions (sometimes they quote 130???). Oof.
Hospitality is not as strong as marketed online; dry personalities for receptionists while management & training felt inconsistent.
The security guards on the other hand... really liven the place up! I wish they worked the front desk instead.
⚠Self-checkin is unreliable for certain names (i.e. hyphenated).⚠
Lobby signage reads "no smoking" but it's permitted everywhere else on the gaming floor so the general odor is unpleasant.
    Elevators are frustratingly slow.
    MVP employees: Security guards
ROOM (Deluxe King, Deluxe two Doubles) -- 👍
    czcams.com/video/X5IkgYNkKyM/video.html
    czcams.com/video/IMGwvg6GBGA/video.html
Online pictures represent the room poorly due to the dreadful lighting & unusual rectangle layout.
In-person the vibe felt like classic Vegas with modern stock.
Functionally it's very straightforward; more of a pit stop than relaxing accommodation.
Housekeeping was in rare form, kicking the DnD signs around.
Please retire these dirty cut outs 😭.
BED -- 👎 Mattresses was firm & in good condition, unlike the linens.
Bed sheets were a drag due to the unpleasant texture + holes. They strategically covered these with a throw blanket at least...
Pillows felt hollow & wrong-sized, providing 0 neck support.
BATH -- 👎 Small dimensions with an uninspired design. It's hard to utilize a lengthy vanity, the best feature, due to limited space.
The shower experience was ok: Pretty tile work, good water pressure, & average towels (not fluffy). Unlabeled shower products are provided... use at your own risk.
⚠No exhaust system so remember to open that tiny window!⚠
TV/ENTERTAINMENT/ACTIVITIES--👍 in-room: a dated TV solution; no auxiliary functionality or accessibility due to the wall mount. Dusty & counterproductive. Half the time errors pop up on the TV.
    Gaming:
The new 🅿layer reward program incentives were ... depressing: $20 off +60, $10 off +50 food. Prices aren't even listed on the Cornerstone menu, so there's always a gimmick or catch to these. The Palms Casino is right across the street with MUCH better perks, especially for Californians.
Table games & slots were abundant. Always lively-- the polar opposite of Virgin Hotels vibe. Despite the poor reward program, this IS one of the best casinos to play at.
    WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION -- 👎 bad.
Free WI-FI in the public space is noticeably congested. It can take minutes to even connect initially. Too much hassle for a measly 5mbps.
The premium offering, 15mbps, is $15 USD. Overpriced & disingenuous (the Palms offers 40 Mbps for $9.99 next door).
Cellular performance is equally bad, despite a direct line of site to a cell tower from the room. Pressing up against the window is your best bet for reception.
    --Performance--
    Video streaming - bad
    Online gaming - bad
    Video chatting - bad
    --Nerd Stats--
    2-5 Mbps download
    3-17 Mbps upload
    0% packet loss
    33 ms latency
    35 ms jitter
FOOD & DRINK -- 👎 Poor. Not DoorDash friendly.
$15 for a breadless subway sandwich... oof.
There are a variety of cuisines on the casino floor: American sandwiches, Western Chinese fusion, etc, but wait times for takeout insufferable even when ordering ahead.
Half the vending machines are "cash only". The other half are "no cash accepted"... smfh.
    in-room:
    ❌ microwave (mini)
    ✅ mini-fridge (small)
    ✅ coffee
    ❌ tea
    ❌ wet-bar
    ❌ mini-bar
NOISE --👍 Generally pleasant during my multiple stays, YMMV. The walls are awkwardly thin though, even for casual convos.
Housekeeping's chismé made it difficult to sleep during turnover-- good luck nursing that hangover!🤞
LOCATION -- 👍 Minutes from the strip with convenient self-park + valet.
Multiple entrances make it a bit confusing for rideshare/food delivery.
Security presence is great & they're friendly, much more than the receptionist.
    RECOMMENDATION
    Price: $107.99/night
    Was it worth it: No.
    Best part: Gaming.
Aggressively mediocre as a hotel with lazy housekeeping.
Resort fees are greedy & disingenuous, lacking the "amenity" needed most: functional WiFi.
Would not return to the hotel, but would recommend the casino for table games.
    2/5 ⭐
