    I am here also to comment about differences from this video and actual v100eby electric standup desk.
    Nonetheless, it's helping, but please update your video according to what is actually shipping nowadays!
    Thanks again for the video, assembly is very easy and appreciated!

    Yeah for ppl confused the center bar is like the 4th step and has no holes, you gotta just adjust it with friction.

    I got the 60 x 24 in desk. The video instructions and the booklet that came with the desk are different for step number four. The video shows that the left, right and inner crossbar are already attached with screws, however, mine came all separate and there are no screw holes in the center crossbar. Step four says to extend the frame to the desired length and then secure with the screws. How do I know what length is correct? I guess I'll have to drill holes because my inner crossbar has no screw holes.

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  Před rokem +6

      There have been some minor updates to the frame and manual since this video was made. It is correct for the inner crossbar to have no holes, and the screws simply tighten against it for a friction fit. For the length, the crossbar can be almost as long as the width of the desktop at the maximum (for desktops no larger than about 52"), or about 12" of overhang can be left on each side at the minimum. If using one of our desktops, leave the adjustment loose, align the assembled frame with the pre-drilled mounting holes, and then tighten when finished.

      That's exactly why I'm here. Despite the explanation given by Vivo in this thread, there is no reason given for the cutout sections at either end of one side of the bar, or why there is a single screw hole on one end that apparently serves no purpose. I was all set to give them my first ever A+ on assembly before this!

  • @Ehondacivic
    @Ehondacivic Před rokem +2

    How do you know how far to extend the bar? All the instructions just say “extend the crossbar” do I need to get the top out of the box, measure the distance between the prescrewed holes and then try to match up the crossbar length?

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  Před rokem

      If assembling the frame to a desktop with pre-drilled holes, you can simply leave the crossbar length adjustment loose until the frame is screwed in place. If assembling to a desktop without pre-drilled holes, the length can be set to leave about 1" to 10" of desktop overhang on each side, depending on how it will best fit your setup.

    Do vivo desks come with predrill holes for the VIVO Heavy Duty Adjustable Under-Desk PC Mount? Thanks

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  Před 3 měsíci

      Our desks do not have pre-drilled holes for additional accessories since the mounting locations for these can be highly dependent on user needs and preference. We do provide a drilling template with the PC mount in question to make installation as easy as possible.

    this video no longer matches the desk parts. i got the 60x24 two days ago and the parts in this video don't match what i got. thankfully i figured things out but you have to do a better job of updating these videos when your product changes.

      We're sorry for the troubles! This frame model did receive some updates not too long ago. Our photo/video team's had a lot to cover for other new and updated products, but we should also be making an updated assembly video for this one eventually.

    I just put my desk together and only the leg with the motor is rising. Where did I go wrong?

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  Před rokem

      It's possible the sync rod isn't fully seated at one end. To check on this most easily, disconnect the rod from the motor and make sure it's fully inserted into the other leg. Once fully seated at that end, extend and reconnect it to the motor. If it still doesn't work, please contact our customer support team: vivo-us.com/pages/support

    I have put mine together such that the spinning rod is at the back, but now see in the manual and the video it is in the front. Does it matter?

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  Před rokem

      It doesn't matter if it's in the front or back, so as long as everything is fit together in a way that works well for your desk, then everything is perfectly fine!

    I have the corner desk and I was told to use this video as instructions, but the part that goes into the corner has no pre-drilled holes... am I supposed to use a nail to drill them myself similar to the middle brackets?

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  Před rokem +1

      The included screws are able to self-tap into the desktop without drilling (place some pressure on the heads to help them push through the veneer surface), but pre-drilling the holes with a 1/8" drill bit will make them easier to screw in. We're working to make some updates that will ease the assembly process, but at the moment, most of our corner desk kits do require some additional screw holes to complete the assembly.

    I can't even do step 1. I just have a medal rod with no holes and two circular cutouts on both side. This has been the most time consuming and aggravating assembly I've ever done.

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  Před 8 měsíci

      We're sorry for the difficulties! The center crossbar of the telescoping frame is made with no holes so that it can be adjusted to an exact length. After adjustment, the screws in the side crossbars tighten against the center bar for a friction fit. The two cutouts in the center bar are for in case it needs to be adjusted to a smaller size, allowing it to slide over the heads of the screws holding the legs in place. I can’t extend the rod, is there a trick to it?

    • @VIVOus
      @VIVOus  Před rokem

      We're sorry the rod is giving you trouble! To extend it, make sure the plastic knob is loosened and firmly pull out on the hex rod. If it's still stuck, try inserting a long screwdriver (or similar tool or rod) into the socket at the other end, place that end with the screwdriver down on the floor, and then give the rod a few firm taps down onto the screwdriver to push the hex rod out. If it still won't extend, please contact our customer support team for a replacement rod: vivo-us.com/pages/support
