    Love the honesty Glen. I'm approaching 200 hours and I still feel the same way getting kicked around in the bumps. I also hate it even more being up there by myself and getting hammered. Keep up the great work my man. 👍👍

      I am in the same boat! After buying my 150, I found myself getting tossed around hard. I started to rethink owning a plane and feared I lost my nerve.
      One fact I forgot was, all my training and renting happened in the early hours of the morning before the thermals. Very different from the mid day flights I'd take in my little flying golf cart 😅. I adjusted the time of day I fly and started to enjoy it again.

    Love to see my home town from the air ! I got a tip for you. So, you started to tell the story of when Quebec was invaded. If you want to get a feeling of what it was like, during the firework event (grand feux loto-quebec), you stand at "place de paris" (the church area where you were), and you close your eyes when its poping in the sky ! Its pretty awesome.

    Hello Glen,
    I have seen most of your videos about C-FMVU and I was particularly touched by this one which describes your visit to Quebec and more specifically the beautiful city of Quebec.
    Very beautiful images added to the correct and precise comments 10/10.
    I myself own a beautiful 1950 Cessna 170 in perfect flying condition. However, I would like to finalize one day its restoration to the level of C-FMVU, which is very similar on many points.
    Good luck with your fundraising campaign for Hope Air.

    • @kazflight
      @kazflight Před 3 měsíci +1

      I believe it's based on what language you use in your initial call. If you speak French, they will respond in French and vice versa.

    • @GlensHangar
      @GlensHangar  Před 3 měsíci +3

      @@bensteyn1974 Generally not - if you are on with ATC (tower or radar surveillance) anything that will affect you is relayed in your native tongue. When it can get a little bit dicey is in uncontrolled airspace and at non-towered airports; you need to be on your toes and always ask for clarification in English. For the most part if you declare that you don’t understand, the other pilots will switch to English.
      If you are English only with no understanding of French, then you should always be on with Montreal Centre. They will give you a traffic advisory giving you a really good picture before releasing you to an uncontrolled airport.
