Zoo Duisburg, Ein Koala als Weihnachtsgeschenk

- Junger Koala verlässt schon vor Weihnachten den Beutel.
Während der Weihnachtsmann seinen Beutel packt um am Wochenende Kinder in aller Welt zu bescheren verlässt im Zoo Duisburg ein junges Koalamädchen ihre schützende Behausung.
Die Koalahaltung im Zoo Duisburg ist und bleibt einmalig! Ncht nur, dass die australischen Beuteltiere nach wie vor nirgendwo sonst in Deutschland gehalten werden. Weltweit staunen Kollegen über die Nachzuterfolge am Kaiserberg. 1994 trafen die ersten Tiere aus dem San Diego Zoo ein. Bis heute sind weit über ein Dutzend Jungtiere erfolgreich aufgezogen worden! Seit ein paar Tagen nun zeigt sich der jüngste Spross dauerhaft den begeisterten Zoobesuchern.

Pán chová maminku i s miminkem. Jak mu závidím. Štve mě že když si někdo odveze opuštěnou koalu hrozí mu vězení. Ale kolik jich tam zahyne při požárech to dělají že nevidí.

There must be some health problems.. the mom koala’s eyeballs and baby’koala’s eyeball are too popped out. What is wrong?
Probably nutrient deficiency. They are in a zoo and not their natural habitat. In their natural environment the leaves of the eucalyptus tree supplies all their nutrients to include the water they need to live.

Man hat inzwischen eindeutig festgestellt, dass das zu viel Stress für die Koalas ist, wenn man sich ihnen zu oft nähert.
