Brushes really does making blending smoother, and produces an overall larger coverage than shading with the pencil, only.

I decided to draw this seketch for my college exhibition for which I am very excited... I thought I wouldn't be very difficult but Ya Allah I took me 1 and a half hour just to draw outlines .. today I truly started it at 3 o'clock and ended it in 10 30 . I didn't take any breaks.... And in 7 and half hours I was able to draw till 16:00 minutes of this tutorial... Hoping to compelete it in 2 days InshaaAllah❤️

You should do more full face graphite powder tutorials:)) I really think it helps me draw better😁
I made "Pieta" in its black and white as my reference during an art contest of my college days about humanity subject, I'm font have broad skills by that time -just a beginner, using just charcoal and soft paper, cotton, dchool eraser, and later, made some drawing requests from office mates, friends, family then I stopped doing it and done other things like tshirt printing, sign making.
Today I've learned many things from you like, sketching using light graphite pencil first, then shading with next layer of graphite or charcoal by pencil tips then brush and blending tools, and you introduced new tools to me like, gelly roll, blending stump, mono zero eraser..

Thank you SOOO MUCH for this tutorial. I didn't use graphite powder bc I had sandpaper but didn't have a brush. So I alternated between a B and 2B pencil. Where you used the black pencil I used an 8B pencil and I'm so happy with how it turned out. Thank youuuuu😊

Hello Judy, just stumbled upon your amazing work, I tried to do the drawing but it was challenging, might have been the paper or my techniek or both. I might try one of your pieces that is less challenging. I was not really able to get the darker shades and it looked like a solid mass of grey🥴. looking forward to watching your other videos. Thanks so much 😊 I really appreciate that. the paper im using is slightly thick but with a smooth surface. and you can definitely do it, but it takes time. however I have other tutorials that might be easier than this one, i hope you find them useful!!

To be honest I have never liked the highlight done with a jellyroll pen. Usually the base paper is light enough. If I do need a whiter look then I use a white charcoal pencil. Beautifully executed piece nonetheless.

Very talented! I wish ‘time lapse’ was not so heavily used. Starting to shade an area at normal speed would allow the viewer to appreciate the hand technique instead of guessing it. Having said that; the narration is excellent and compensate somewhat for the lack of visibility caused by the ‘time lapse.’ Thank you.
