How To Replace Emergency Brake Shoes|Chrysler 300|E-Brakes Fix

- We are replacing the Parking Brake Shoes on a Chrysler 300.
Some helpful tools for the job: 15mm, 16mm wrenches or ratchet & sockets, screwdriver, pry bar, needle nose pliers and c-clamp.
We remove the brake pads & rotor to access the parking brake. Remove hook-sping and slide off the old parts. Then install the new parts😄
Carefully position the new brake shoes, pads & replace the spring hook and adjuster.
Always remember to open the master cylinder before compressing caliper then reinstall caliper, brake pads.
A good pair of needle nose vise grips works great on those springs,, either Milwaukee or Breman, I won't use Irwin! Breman can be picked up at Harbor Freight for about $10, that's what I've got!
I use Permatex Ceramic base brake grease on any moving part!! P/N 24125,, $24 for 8oz but worth it! The brake cable has to move a fraction of an inch through a hole in the knuckle, pull it out, clean it with sandpaper clean out the hole and use some grease in the hole. Don't wanna find out your brakes are seized up WHEN YOU NEEED THEM!!
