arequipa es llamada ciudad blanca por que su gente solia ser blanca de españa pero ahora que los puneños nos invadieron supongo que la llaman a si por el sillar por que las familias tipicas arequipeñas ya somoms muy pocas y la mayoria huyo de la ciudad por tanta migracion andina

Nice.but the real reason for white city.was because most of the population used to be european descendents.until the years 1950s.

Get your facts right. you are wrong, at the time of colonization only whites lived in Arequipa and therefore was called the white city. but eventually started saying ignorance by Sillar (ashlar).
