Stonemasonry - MAINSTONE CARVING- Jamb Cap

- In this video I make a cap that sits on top of the jambs for a doorway. It is carved from a Spanish sandstone which can be very difficult to work with because its soft and crumbly nature.

There's not a lot of information on stonemasonry on CZcams, trust me I've looked. This is some of the best content showing the work from start to finish so thanks for posting this. You should try making educational style videos for people like me that want to learn. I would be interested in understanding how to interpret the drawing you show as well as some of the tools and techniques you are using.
Thanks so much Matthew. It means a lot to get good feedback. Im trying to get more content in but life is a bit crazy at the moment. hopefully when things calm down a bit I can get some more videos up. I was planning on doing some tuition style videos so watch this space, need to get the skills out there and improve peoples knowledge of the trade.

A wonderfull display of craftmanship, im doing stone masonry as a hobby, may I ask what attachments you use for the small and big angle grinder in this video? It looks like some kind of device that gives the cutting blade a bit more distance to the main body of the angle grinder, which means you can do much deeper cuts. Also are the cutting blades just normal ones since you dont seem to need to screw them in place. Unfortunately I couldnt find anything about this on the internet.
