Beautiful Troy and thanks for sharing your people's history with us.We need more education to sit at the same tables. All the best ✌😍👍
Troy my darling you are a very good singer and thank for your story .
The word aboriginal… blood types A,B and O riginal… the definition of the start of man in my opinion. The original people inhabiters souls. Souls so strong there still felt and heard today. I’m sorry for my ancestors actions, but there are no excuses for them.
Thanks for staying true mate your a top bloke. Say gday ta ya mum n family for me I wish yas all well.
you're one of the best my friend cheers
Gives me goosebumps this one 🖤💛❤
What a beautiful song.
I drove up that Old Glen Innes Rd with my husband a few years ago and we camped up there beside the Mann River. It was before I knew about the massacre. But, boy, I felt this overwhelming sense of dread, eerie gloom, and fear... it was like we were always being watched. When I later heard about the massacre I understood what I felt. I get chills every time I hear this song.
That's such an interesting read. Can I ask if you remember where you camped along the Mann River? Was it in a designated spot, or just beside the river? I wanna head up that way camping soon!
This is such a powerful and sorrowful story and the musical setting is so perfect. It keeps giving me more.
❤😢
Thank You Troy for Passing on the Sorry &. Tragic History,
of your Family.😥
Our Children need Educating, &. you putting this into Song, is the best way of Teaching them.
Sincerest🥀Condolences on the Loss of your Cousin.😌
I hear you brother
I feel the same with my family tribe of the yidinji people massacre several miles north of yungaburra which is now known as tinaroo dam in 1884 where a camp was raided and police killed women and children by clubbing there heads and were left where they lay
Such madness, just written out of history... Thank you for a beautiful telling in song. I hope all of us whitefellas can someday understand the importance of truthtelling. I do! Brilliant song!!!
Great guitar, (is that open D?), great song.
Sounds almost the same as Privateering By Mark Knopfler.
Sounds better at 2x speed
