    The old Chicago Stadium was a better place to watch a game -
    and was the best arena in the world to watch a hockey game.
    Better than the old Montreal Forum, Maple Leaf Garden and Boston Garden.
    The old Stadium Pipe Organ is unmatched in all these new arenas.
    I feel the same way about Old Comiskey Park. New is a STERILE feeling.

      I'll have to wait and see it in person. But to me it looks like a webpage with a shit ton of banner ads. haha.

    I saw Paul McCartney one night and Springsteen the next.
    That is a huge building. On par with the Palace of Auburn Hills, Richfield Coliseum. You are a long way from the action. It’s a great building but it is absolutely huge.

    You probably won't have a great time here if you are a blues fan

    I grew up in Chicago and as a hockey guy was a big Blackhawks fan. Nobody cared about the Blackhawks they were far afterthought behind pretty much every other sports team, most people in Chicago even considered hockey a dead sport. Then they got good an all of a sudden they have one of the best fanbases in the league lmao.

      yeah their turnaround is a pretty amazing case study.

      A lot of the turn around had to do with Bill Wirtz passing away unfortunately and Rocky Wirtz taking over. Rocky got the home games in tv which was a plus for the fan base. The team winning early and often and the deep run in 2009 that set up the 2010 cup season didn’t hurt

    The United Center will NEVER....EVER be like the Old Barn that was The Chicago Stadium.

    and from what I understand, the United Center sucks compared to Chicago Stadium, but I suppose if you've never experienced the Boston Garden, then you've never experienced the Madhouse on Madison?

    The bowl sucks. Too distant and doesn’t hold noise.

    The old Chicago Stadium Organ was faaaarr better than this Radio Shack electronic crap.
    Chicago Stadium was the best place for hockey - far better than the UC.

    it’s disrespectful to clap during the national anthem

    • @_TheRinks
      @_TheRinks  Před 4 lety +3

      MattSzVlogs to be honest, I don’t find this disrespectful because it’s an outpouring of emotion for the USA. What I do find disrespectful is when teams yell out certain words in the anthem that pertains to their team. Like Dallas yells STARS! Flames yell C, Jets yell TRUE NORTH etc.
      But at United it has nothing to do with the team, just their love for their country. And I like that.

    • @Kartkid024
      @Kartkid024 Před 4 lety +3

      Why??? I always thought clapping was a sign of respect. Should we not clap when our team scores or when a military member is shown too???

      The cheering and clapping became a tradition in 1991 during the All-Star game at the Chicago Stadium. It is not a sign of disrespect, but rather of pride for our country, our flag, and the men and women who defend the freedoms we take for granted every single day. The Blackhawks have multiple service men and women on the ice for the National Anthem and they always honor another member during a commercial break and every single abled body person stands and applauds for the sacrifice they have made in the name of this great country. Maybe next time, do your research before you make a misguided comment.

      @@alexadams2570 - The cheering and clapping during the National Anthem in Chicago began during the 1985 playoffs. You can see it at the following link :
